Great PM software, they are always improving functionality for owners, residents, and our property management team.

Very good product. Pricey for small operators like us. Some activities are way over complicated due to the target audience being much larger multi-property, multi-owner operations, which we are not. When you leave a well thought out suggestion for improvement and you never hear anything back, you feel slighted. Most support requests are promptly responded to. Could not do my job without this or a similar product. Have not priced a competitor since going with Appfolio.

Reports are easy to use, comprehensive and the customer service is extremely prompt

I think this is a great Property Management Software and has made strides towards becoming a better accounting software

Overall, Appfolio is a good management software program. There are areas that need improvement, and how fast the improvements are addressed and created could definitely be faster.

You just need some work on your accounting and bank reconciliation.

When I found out that Appfolio was initially created to organize files for law offices, I thought that explained a lot of the issues I had with it. It is very good at organizing people, files, and data, but some of the property management specific tasks give it trouble. There are a lot of tasks, especially involving lease renewals that take a very long time, and things I would expect to auto-populate like late fees, or changes in parking rent, need to be entered manually. Also, it does not seem like the accounting portion of the software was designed for/by accountants. My office manager is always bringing up journal entries, and reconciliation issues.

Overall, we love Appfolio. However, the client support has grown weaker as your company has grown. I would also like to see open API's
