After 9 Months of Collaboration, BigMarker Walked Away Days Before Launch
My company spent nine months working closely with BigMarker on a custom white-label platform that they assured us they could deliver. This wasn’t a casual conversation — it was an intensive collaboration: • BigMarker created detailed designs • We held regular working sessions • We aligned on product requirements • They repeatedly committed to specific launch dates • When delays occurred, they postponed twice but reassured me that everything was progressing Based on their consistent commitments, I made major business decisions: • Paused all other development options • Extended my contract with my previous platform at substantial cost • Scheduled communications and transitions for my customers • Structured the entire business roadmap around BigMarker’s promised delivery Then, just days before the final scheduled launch, BigMarker abruptly withdrew from the project — despite having created designs, confirmed scopes, and collaborated for months. This was not a case of “miscommunication.” It was a full-scale reversal after nearly a year of hands-on work and reliance on their assurances. There was no warning, no transition plan, and no willingness to take responsibility for the consequences. The impact was severe: we lost roughly 12 months of practical momentum, and from BigMarker’s original March 1 launch promise, my company remains about 18 months behind where we should be. The financial, operational, and reputational damage has been significant. I attempted to resolve the matter privately and reasonably, but BigMarker declined to take accountability for the disruption caused by their last-minute withdrawal. If you are considering BigMarker for any custom or enterprise-level build, I strongly advise extreme caution. Do not rely on verbal assurances or informal commitments, no matter how detailed the collaboration appears. Without binding accountability, you risk facing the same outcome I did. I hope this review helps others avoid a similar setback.
