Black Book Design CollectiveA curated team of top quality creatives providing strategic, cost-effective branding and design solutions. We empower businesses to elevate their brands through exceptional design, strategic expertise, and unparalleled flexibility, without breaking the bank.Black Book Design Collective was born out of frustration. Frustration with an industry that’s either too expensive for growing businesses or too unpredictable for those who need real creative firepower. Between us—Hugo Morrissey, a founder himself who’s lived the struggle of scaling a brand, and Matt van der Valk, a creative who’s spent two decades shaping them—we knew there had to be a better way.Hugo built Nuisance Drinks, a UK beverage brand that thrived despite the challenges of finding good, affordable creative support. Traditional agencies were too costly. Freelance platforms were a gamble. The gap between top-tier creative and realistic budgets was impossible to ignore.Matt, as an Executive Creative Director, saw another side of the problem. He knew how to craft compelling, strategic creative—but also saw how bloated agency structures and inefficiencies left so many brands priced out of truly great work.We met in the middle and created Black Book Design Collective: a highly curated collective of independent creatives, vetted and led by those who understand both the business and brand landscapes. We strive to deliver award-winning work without the overheads of traditional agencies, giving businesses access to world-class design, branding, and marketing—without the guesswork or inflated fees. We’re here to fix what’s broken. To make branding better. To give businesses the creative talent they need, when they need it, in a way that actually makes sense. No fluff. No No hoops and hold ups. Just brilliant work, built for growth.

I had a small range extension project for some packaging design and Black Book Design Collective were the perfect team for the job. Super efficient, not over complicated and very reasonable pricing. Will be using again!
