I just tried to opt out and while they claim there is an opt out link, there is none. When you click on the “opt out” option, nothing happens. This is a very creepy company! Edit: After this review was published, and the company replied, I went back on their page and thought they fixed it. A link has been added to the opt out sentence at the bottom of their page. Unfortunately, that link takes you to a page that did not have any place to opt out.

Reporting charges from California dating over 7 years ago is prohibited. This means illegal. It is criminally and civilly against the law to include charges over 7 years old from California and several other states. Update What appeared on my report was charges from over 20 years ago that need not be discussed here or shown to prospective employers. Take this seriously, if the company withdraws their offer, checkr will be paying my lost wages.

Tell me my business can't hire in this state bye some other three state law's uber and door dash may discard people with experience in rough neighborhoods to send a old or young person to these places to get robbed or car jacked or anything don't waste your money or time looking for the right person here .

Don’t waste your money. This company is a scam. I paid $65 for an inaccurate report. They did not do a thorough background check. I got more information about a candidate using Truthfinder and BeenVerifed. You have to pay extra just to get mutiple counties checked for 1 report. The customer service is nonexistent. This company is a joke. They take your money and give you nothing in return.

Don’t waste your money. They do not provide accurate background checks. They charge extra if you want multiple counties checked. You are charged $65 to get basic inaccurate information that you can get for free on other websites. The customer service is very slow are not helpful.

Ruining my livelihood over a severe identity mix-up / False reporting"Checkr’s lazy automated background check system has completely halted my ability to earn a living because of a severe case of mistaken identity. Their software flagged me for an unverified international record belonging to a completely different person just because of a basic name match.The most absurd part? Checkr already ran my exact details on July 13, 2026, for an Instacart application and cleared me as 100% CLEAN. Their own database explicitly proves my record is immaculate, yet their broken software applied a false flag to my Lyft application anyway.I have submitted formal dispute Case ID 01932048 along with official clean record documents, but their helpline representatives claim they cannot route to a live supervisor and told me to wait. This is a direct violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act's requirement for maximum accuracy. Leaving a hard-working person unable to feed their family because of a software glitch is disgusting. Fix this report immediately!

By far the worst company SCAMMERS and very slow communication. Workers can barely speak English very sad for a company hiring staff that isn’t properly fit or qualified for the job. Send the same information 3 times a issue hasn’t been fixed a simple license renewal they aren’t able to fix. I would understand a week or so but they have let it go far by 2 months. Wouldn’t recommend this company to anybody.

What a horrible customer service experience. You can't speak to a real person via their chat or on the phone. I was on the phone with their AI for 30 minutes and it kept saying that it was transferring me to a real person then it would say it hadn't heard from me in a while and would end the call after 5 seconds. What type of company refuses to help you? Horrible. I also requested a copy of my background check over a month ago and I still don't have it.
