EmporiumauctionsReviews of emporiumauctions.com

I have bid on their items twice and I amd giving them a five star review for the following reasons. 1. They take detailed pictures of all of there items. A lot of auctions dont even bother to take their own pictures so I appreciate this. 2. They are honest about the item they are offering. 3. They list clearly whether the item is sealed if they've done a power test, if the item works and what the item is worth. Alot of other auction houses put these details in a bunch of print so it isnt easy to see but they have this at the top near the picture and list in one word in a list one after the other so you can find the info fast and easy. 4. I forgot one of the items at the auction house and they kept it for me until I could come and get it. The only thing I would say would be great if they do is if they test their items a little further. For example a power test wont tell you if an item works completely. I bought an item that looked like it worked but in reality the function that would allow the device to function after charging it didnt work. The item only functions if it is plugged into the wall at all times. I understand that it is time consuming to do this sort of thing and not many people do it but if they managed to I would give this auction house a perfect score. I will say as well that the staff is very friendly and I believe they are honest with there postings. I have bid on other auctions where they were disingenuous with there postings and I value that this auction house has not done that as far as I have seen.

They were good until they implemented the scheduled pickup system within 4 days. I have now lost two purchases in a row because the only dates available were on work days during working hours. I guess that's a way for them to make more money from abandoned orders. They won't get me again. I'm abandoning them

They keep the items and charge you and never let you know you even win. Just a terrible auction house

More like a poor copy ebay than a real auctioneers; only has timed ebay style auctions, presumably because they don't have a real auctioneer and / or enough locals prepared to bid. As for their online buying / shipping statement; "At Emporium Auctions, we pride ourselves on the high levels of customer care and service we offer." They clearly must live in an alternative universe as they refused after 3 days to so much as pack my lot (they tried tio shuffle me off to an expensive 3rd party. WARNING They have the most officious terms and conditions that I have ever seen - Remote buyers- bid, buy and pay at your peril (think getting charge huge sums of money if you do not arrange collection yesterday). Pretentious or what I despise firms that send nameless emails. Emporium are just such a business. When I told hem that I would never ever buy from them again, they banned me! Feel better for that Mr. Rob Cameron? (The person / owner thata sends out nameless emails). Duh! Ah diddums.
