Not a company I'd recommend unless of course you want to get scammed then; yeah, go for it! If you don't want your accounts left in the negative, stay far away from fairshake!

With all the bad reviews about not getting the settlement money, I understand why they actually charge their fee before you can see that money. The option to pay only after you get the refund/credit money is not real, they take payment details to use that option and charge you within 30 days - even if you never got your money. So most likely you are going to end up without settlement money and without the money you paid as a fee - not falling for that. The “turn to us if you did not get your credit” = chase our online bot’s and chase us after we already charged you and will not move a finger as we won’t make more money from you.

We certainly want to make sure our customers get the settlement that they are promised. These are binding legal documents that you sign with the company your claim is against. If you fulfill any requirements on your end (which can include an additional tax form, return of equipment, etc) then we 100% want to make sure the company follows through. Some companies move slow, and so our system waits until a settlement is 60 days old before we give the option to follow up if you haven't received it. While our default delayed charge is 30 days--by which time we hope you've received the settlement--our team will delay the charge further if a user lets us know the settlement hasn't been received. My bank charged me 4 times for tickets and I never got the tickets. $776 came out of my account 4 times. The merchant returned the original charge. Merchant has provided proof. I have been strung along by Fair Shake for near a year. AAA wants $200 Fair Shake has me send fee waiver over and over. Now Fair Shake said sorry, you must not qualify. I’ve been unemployed since Covid. Nice if I had money for a lawyer I would have hired one. Also why would I loose another $200 adding to the $776? Nothing but scammers and thieves in America. Bank theft! Update on Fair Shake reply, Im going to add the 7 months of lies in text from your company. You suck as bad as the bank and are fat liars as well. Profit over people. You did not need to string me along as you did. I was screwed plenty by Chase. Jerk!

Hi Heather, It sounds like an extremely frustrating experience, and I empathize. We wouldn't charge filing fees if we didn't have to, but they don't go to us at all they go to the American Arbitration Association, which is the court-like system used under many consumer contracts. Unfortunately FairShake is one component within a system. If the American Arbitration Association will not accept your submitted waiver of the filing fee, you can ask them for their reasoning. However, that is not a decision of FairShake, and it's not money that would go to us, it would go to the Arbitration Association to hear your case under the terms of the contract between you and the company your issue is with. -MK

I paid $56 for my commission fee back in October against my claim with AT&T. It is now December and I haven’t received any type of credit or payout. THIS IS VERY WELL OVER FRUSTRATING!!!!!

Hi Kiki, I'm sorry to hear this. Our settlements are legally binding and it's always frustrating when companies don't act quickly to implement them. If it's been at least 60 days since your settlement, logging onto your dashboard at https://app.fairshake.com will five you the opportunity to let AT&T know that you hadn't seen the results of this settlement. The other thing to make sure is to check your settlement agreement and your email for requirements from AT&T in order to complete the settlement. For instance for certain settlements they require completion of a tax form and if that hasn't been provided then they won't process the settlement. -MK

It has been 2 maybe 3 months since the process started. The communication is absolutely awful. I asked several times how to I update info. Kept being directed to “the portal” by Robert. I kept telling Robert nothing loads! Finally it opens and Verizon asks for info. Though nothing allowing me to update info. Like how much I want since now I’ve been charged additional fees by Verizon that I never had. Anyway I upload all of the proof. 2 weeks go by. No notifications at all from fairshake. I go and check it and there’s a notice to escalate. Seriously? They have receipts and bank statements still can’t figure this out? So I click on escalate this is where I find it really foul. On their site they promise it’s 100% no charge to me unless I’m paid. I haven’t received a dime and it asks me for my credit card info to pay them $200. I qualify for the reimbursement however they still want my card info. Why? If Verizon is meant to pay it AS THEY SHOULD why do they need my info? Also WHERE IS $200 amount even coming from??? Unbelievable. Also still couldn’t update any info. Such garbage and what a waste of time. I have no idea what’s even happening at this point. 😠 ETA to reply to fair shake Oh please “disappointment” really? You ever stated anything about a $200 and I’m still waiting on the waiver I was promised. So maybe do that so something can actually be done. You lied and continue to lie saying there is no fee. There is a fee and it’s not 100% free to anyone .

Hi, Sorry to hear about your disappointing experience. It sounds like there's a few things going on here which we could do a better job on: 1) It sounds like you may have had technical issues loading your FairShake dashboard ("the portal"). While this happens for every company occasionally, we want to know when it does so that we can trouble shoot the issue. There are other situations where this can be an issue with the browser or internet connection being used. 2) We invite companies to use our system if they are trying to resolve a user's issue in order to ask for additional information if they are unable to identify or understand how to resolve a claim. However, we do see companies use this system in ways that may be intended to frustrate customers, and we are looking for better ways to handle these situations. 3) While it may be a disappointment, it's important to understand that the $200 to escalate your claim to arbitration is a charge by the American Arbitration Association (AAA). None of this fee is retained by FairShake. Unfortunately some companies that agree to eventually reimburse the fee do not do so up front, and unless you qualify for a fee waiver the AAA requires it to file a claim. The amount is named in your contract with Verizon.

I filed a complaint with FairShake against Verizon Wireless for billing me for services they did not provide. Verizon Wireless put me up for a collection process with a collection agency. I settled with the collection agency and Verizon dropped their case. I advised FairShake that I wished to drop my complaint against Verizon Wireless. FairShake attempted to bill me for "use of their platform" and services rendered, although they never did a single thing to resolve my claim and never collected one dime on my behalf. Beware FairShake. They will not give you a fair shake. In fact, they will try to shake you down. A bogus website, if I ever saw one. December 16, 2021 I negotiated a settlement with the collection agency to whom my account was assigned by Verizon Wireless. FairShake had absolutely nothing to do with the settlement process. I am extremely dissatisfied with the inefficiency of FairShake in addressing my complaint. I quote from the FairShake website: "FAQ - FairShake How much does your service cost? FairShake is designed to never cost you anything out of pocket and your claim with us is subject to a 100% satisfaction guarantee — if you don’t think we did a good job, you don’t have to pay." Your attempt to "invoice" me for a service that you failed to provide and with which I am totally unsatisfied is a dishonest and deceptive dereliction of your written guarantee. I would never, never, ever extend my trust again to a business concern that is as blatantly unethical and hypocritical as FairShake has proven itself to be.

Hi David, Our number one goal is always to see users reach a successful resolution on their claims. We sometimes see companies try to cut us out of this process, contrary to the rules, and so we have a process set up for these sorts of situations. When a company responds to a complaint from a user by indicating that they have applied a credit to the account, our team reviews the situation to try to determine if the was action taken in response to the time and resources FairShake has applied to pursue the claim. I will investigate whether this process was followed appropriately in your case. MK

It's been way over 60 days and still haven't received my settlement from PayPal. I should of read the reviews before I signed up for this. Now I feel like I was scammed and I paid the $200 that bow I am out of

Fairshake made all kinds of promises regarding 'taking on the big guys' and 'you're not alone' yet they completely botched my claim against verizon wireless.This s-itshow is nothing more than a bunch of disaffected millenials whining.AVOID THIS FAKE ADVOCACY GROUP AT ALL COSTS!
