G&L ClothingBehind gandlclothing.com is a real clothing store with a staff of real people. Established in 1917, G&L Clothing has been an institution of downtown Des Moines, Iowa for nearly a century. Lou Garsh and Meyer Levine first opened G&L Clothing downtown to sell work clothing, shoes, and boots to railroad workers, construction workers, farmers and tradesmen. G&L Clothing later changed owners and moved to 9th and Locust until a 1996 fire destroyed the building. After the fire, the Marcovis family (present owners since 1981) decided to construct a new building on Ingersoll Avenue where G&L Clothing now resides. An online presence first emerged in 1999 and then with the launch of our eCommerce store, gandlclothing.com in 2005.Whether in-store or online, G&L Clothing serves working men and women throughout Iowa and the world with work, casual and dress clothing from brands like Carhartt, Dickies, Levi’s®, Wrangler, Savane and much, much more. Our sizing selection is hard to beat with bottoms ranging from 26 to 80 inch waist and tops from Small to 10XL and 5XL Tall.We also stock a variety of work boots in our footwear department including safety-toe, met-guard, slip-resistant, insulated, rubber, casual, dress, and athletic styles; with boot and shoe sizes ranging from 6" to 16" regular, wide and extra wide widths. Our shoe brands include LaCrosse, Carolina, Keen, New Balance, Merrell, Timberland Pro and much, much more.Along with our individual customers, G&L Clothing also supplies companies all over the USA with uniforms, outdoor clothing, flame-resistant clothing, safety clothing and boots. I was looking for clothes that I liked for my first day of work, a comfortable but formal one to go with and I bought here, the delivery arrived normally, so I had no complications in use. I hope it continues to work with that same functionality, I recommend it

G&L has always had what I needed in stock whenever I have gone to the site. Prices are competitive and they e-mail specials/discounts pretty regularly. The service is the best part, my orders are always sent right away but when I call with a question I actually get a person on the line I can speak to.

I needed a size 33x36 501 shrink to fit Levi's jean, this is one of the only places I could find that had a few of them in stock and ready to send immediately. Fast shipping.
