We started Jamdesk because we kept running into the same problem: documentation tools were either too expensive for growing teams or too limiting for developers who wanted real control over their content. We'd spent years building Ayrshare, a social media API platform, and lived through the docs pain firsthand. So we built something different. Jamdesk is grounded in the docs-as-code philosophy — MDX files in your Git repo, reviewed through pull requests, deployed through CI/CD. Your docs workflow should feel like your development workflow. The result is a platform that gives you documentation that looks right out of the box, without giving up the flexibility developers expect. No lock-in, no bloat, no surprises.

My team has been looking for a new documentation system mainly for our API offering. We had once of the big vendors and it just got so expensive. We found Jamdesk and migrated over. Was an easy transition, when I had question they were responsive, and I got all the features (with AI) needed but better priced. I would recommend Jamdesk.

We've been using Jamdesk for our docs for a bit and has been a good experience. The docs looks good, the AI auto fix feature has been useful (and I like no extra charges for AI), and the CLI has been easy to use with my AI agent.

It addressed all our needs. We need docs that we can manage in a repo without paying hundreds. The included AI makes it easily worth what we are paying. Was good support for our setup too.
