Horrible
I know they will and did respond on Google with- “you’re upset over price because you added items.” No, that’s why I added picture of final revised inventory list. (Even though it was same as original and revisions were just clarifications). When movers got here they were not prepared to take these items unless I paid over $3 k more. We did not ask them to take one thing that wasn’t already on list. This can be verified with actual moving company that loaded items. I’m not poor and can’t be so simply insulted and dismissed. I would’ve paid double to just deal with honest people. CALL SOMEONE ELSE. READ REVIEWS. YOU CAN BOOK ACTUAL MOVERS DIRECTLY. This is the most dishonest company, albeit, with clever bait and switch tactics. They are not even the movers, they are brokers and will tell you anything to secure that non refundable deposit. However, once the movers show up, you will learn that everything Menards said and did was a lie. So at this point you have to decide whether to go in deeper or forfeit what you’ve paid. IN my case they swindled another $800 out of me the day before the move. Again, none of this money goes to the actual movers and what the movers charge will be no where near what Maynard states on their contract. You would come off better setting your things on fire and starting over than hiring Menard. For frame of reference, I was moving my daughter from her one bedroom apartment in Los Angeles to Kansas City. No appliances, no dining table or furniture, not even a couch. Just a loveseat, 2 chairs, a folding card table and chairs, and a bedroom suit. We boxed up the rest. Ironically, when you call because you’re caught off guard paying $3,000 more when the movers show up—they’ll tell you contract means nothing, because it’s an estimate, but then tell you that same no contract prevents you from slander, so no Google review. Do yourself a favor and call American Eagle Moving company directly. They are at least honest. STAY AWAY FROM MENARD. They will not honor their “no contract” and you’ll spend just as much money suing them as they stole from you. Just go
