PetflowReviews of petflow.com

Used a coupon so the price was right. However, the shipping was slower than expected and I was not notified regarding when or frim where the item shipped. I had to call Customer Service to get this information. Depending on price and shipping fees, I MAY use the site again. I would recommend with explanation.

For the most part I have been happy with the price I get my prescription cat food for (compared to other on-line sites). This past time I ordered it took me over a week to receive my cat food at which point we ran out and the substitute food I had to purchase for my cat made him very sick. Fed Ex didn't pick up the package from the distribution center until three days after they were notified of the order. Not sure who dropped the ball here, petflow.com or Fed Ex.

I have to admit that since Petflow offers free shipping on orders over $50 (which seems to only be for first-time customers making one-time orders, or scheduled repetitive deliveries), their prices are not very competitive in relation to store prices. Meaning that "free shipping" is actually compensated by elevated item prices. With that in mind, I decided to order anyway. I don't own a car, and I thought it was easier and more convenient anyway. However, when the litter and canned food I ordered arrived, the box was in a pretty bad state. The contents seemed fine at first glance, but I ended up finding MULTIPLE dented cans. Dented cans = bacteria, so I had to throw away at least $10 worth of food. Skeptical about ordering again.

The collar itself is not bad but my dog only weighs 5 lbs and the collar is too wide and bulky for him. It would be nice to have a thinner version of the collar for smaller dogs.

It takes far too long to get the food. I run out and have to go to the store to purchase food to last until I get my order. :(

PetFlow.com is a useful service for pet owners whose pets have special dietary needs. Although there are other comparable services on the market, PetFlow's prices are slightly lower, and shipping options are more robust. The biggest problem is that the website is slightly hard to use and prices increase often. Moreover, despite a specialization in veterinary-grade pet foods, PetFlow once sent me a case of the wrong food, which can be really dangerous for an animal with a special diet. When I contacted customer service, I was sent a replacement case immediately.

I bought a 3D cat shirt to send to my sister as a gift. There was no option in the order process to send as a gift. When my sister received it, there was no order form or anything with my name on it included in the box. There was one paper saying thank you for your order. My sister four cats so she assumed someone got a hold of her information and ordered something without her approval. She's checking her credit card/bank statements to make sure she wasn't charged for this product. It would have been nice if I was able to put a note with it or at least an order form with my name on it and that would have avoided all the confusion. Although I have ordered from Petflow and I placed/paid for the order the email asking for this review was sent to my email but addressed to my sister.

It has been a week since the thundershirt shipped and am still waiting on it. Can't comment on anything else because I don't have the item yet. If you need your item fast I'd suggest finding some one else.
