Sony products but mostly their televisions stand in a class of their own, when most brands have thrown away the concepts of build quality and consistency they did not give in to the easy trend of component and panel lotteries even at expense to their supply chain and maximizing their bottom line, the only place they are falling quickly is in software choice, I think it's ok to build custom solutions and not integrate an operating system into every device, and software issues should never get in the way of or impede hardware functions but nobody is getting that balance right.
