Sutton Capital is an amazing platform and program for aspiring VC professionals. The founder, Joel, is an awesome guy who created a community where you can learn everything about the VC world, from the academics to sourcing deals to presenting to and learning from various venture capitalists that participate in the partners meetings. You’ll get to truly learn what it’s like to work in VC as any deal you bring in could end up being Sutton Fund’s next investment. It’s an ideal place to get real VC experience and collaborate with real VCs, giving you the foundation to get a job, and build a career in, venture capital.

I have joined the Sutton Capital research fellowship program in January 2021. Dr. Palathinkal is the course instructor and research lead, he has been able to generate much attention for this program from a diverse cohort. The most interesting aspect of this program is its overall scope which is quite broad and divided into theory and practical application. Hence, the program caters to an audience at various levels who want to break into private equity and venture capital. Moreover, the program is flexible and offers mentorship as well as guides individuals for finding jobs in the area. I surely find this as a good learning experience and would recommend that those who aspire a career in VC to connect with Sutton Capital and learn more.

Working with Sutton Capital was indeed an amazing experience. The team & network are impressive, mentors are from real VC/PEs, and help you to advance with deals and career worldwide, mentors are from real VC/PEs, which, I indeed think it’s unique. I decided to be part of the team as it was a step to advance and to improve skills in funding & Investment. Based in Paris, I was part of the EU cohort, however, you can attend and work on deals worldwide with different teams (in the Americas, Asia, etc). The global network that you get is highly valuable, Joel and the team are very professional, competitive & efficient.

Relocated back to the United States after spending the first 5 years of my professional career in Japan. My experiences in Asia/Africa were transferable to some level however, I lacked USA contents especially when it comes to VC/PE. Sutton Capital's large amount of information ranging from lectures, learning materials, a library of recorded videos with experts allowed me to get a crash course bridging my abroad experiences to the USA Market.

I joined Sutton Capital Global Venture Capital & Private Equity Program through my friend's referral and connecting to Sutton’s general partner, Joel Palathinkal. The program consists of 3 weeks of academic training in Venture Capital and 5 weeks of applying the learned concepts into the real world by joining investment teams and sourcing deals. It offered countless learning opportunities to accumulate experiences and sharpen your skills as an aspiring venture capitalist.

I joined Sutton Capital in November 2020 and instantly found value in the program. Joel has been so supportive throughout the program and I would definitely recommend everyone and anyone who wants to get into the VC industry to join this Program.

Joined Sutton Capital on November 2020, to explore, learn, and build experience in Venture Capital and Private Equity field. Learning platform provides great resources up to date to give entry point for space in VC followed by discussion and meetings with real players in the industry. Joel Palathinkal and invited guests (VCs and founders) gives genuine feedback and perspectives, truly valuable to gain insights for whatever the your aim is in this field. Enjoying interaction not only with instructors but also with cohort members, building great relationships sharing interests in VC/PE. Coming from a background in technology and science, specializing in computational chemistry with experience involving in start-up and finance industry, it was a natural attraction for myself to seek engagement in Venture Capital. Sutton Capital did made that transition in a structured curriculum and interaction with real players in VC world. The platform help members to get involved, source deals, and develop values in early stage/late stage/pre-IPO companies and talking to partners, founders, experienced guest speaker allowed myself to build knowledge and insights in this ecosystem. Joel and cohorts members are willing to support each other in a respectful way, even in a different time zone learning and growing every week.

Working with Sutton Capital has lead me to be a part-time VC and Fulltime PE Investor. Joel and his team has really taught me a lot about both industries and how to get better returns for investors as well as the companies that you invest in. Truly, this has been an awesome experience.
