Whole process was fun, seamless and delightful - it was a moving and memorable experience for both sides. From setting up an account to getting the final story published, each step was clear and smooth. There was a thoughtful list of questions to get my mother-in-law to start opening up. We spoke in both Chinese and English, and the translation was seamless, and the write-up that was generated captured the essence of her stories. The chat was done in person, via audio recording, which I uploaded onto the platform. It was really fun for both of us, and we'll be continuing to capture her stories and lived experiences, and to share with grandkids and other family!

I wanted to capture my mom’s childhood stories for a long time. We tried Storyworth first, but my mom said it felt like painful homework. Every week she’d get a prompt, stare at it, and not know where to start, so most weeks it just didn’t happen. Told Together worked so much better for us. Instead of asking her to sit down and write, it gave us space to just talk. I’d ask about growing up and she’d start remembering all these little things that mattered to her, the kind of details that never would have come out in a written answer. Those ended up being my favorite parts. What surprised me most is that the finished memoir still sounds like my mom. Her phrases, her humor, the way she tells a story. It sounds like she wrote it herself. We shared it with the family and everyone was so grateful. My mom was so happy. I highly recommend Told Together to anyone who wants to save their parents's stories!

Told Together is a wonderful product! It made capturing stories with my mom so easy. I learned so much about her childhood and early career years that I never would have had it not been for these prompts. I've heard of other products like Storyworth and Remento that use AI to interview elderly loved ones, but I know my mom wouldn't have the patience to talk to AI. It was nice that I got to have the conversation with her myself, and then Told Together summarized it into a beautiful written story. The onboarding and recording flows were very smooth, and it outputted a story so quickly afterwards. 10/10 would recommend!
