Front left fender Mercedes W202

On March 2, 2017 I ordered front left fender for my MB W202 and paid 65.80 /Free shipping/. Few days later, I received phone call from company that I should pay 129.00 for shipping, which was a big surprise for me. Explanation was that the package is oversized. Did I pay for shipping? Yes I did. Was it fair? NO.

Ranko, Thank you for your order and honest response. Yes on March 2nd we did get your order for a 1998 C230 driver side fender. The fender list price was $329 and at the time of the order you received a 80% discount getting the fender for $65.80. As far as the shipping issue goes you should note that we do not offer free shipping. During the online checkout process it clearly states any and all shipping charges are the customers responsibility. It also notes that if you have already received a shipping quote to enter it and if you would like a shipping quote to call us at 800 521 7656. You may have confused our March madness sale offering a one time free shipping offer on orders over $300. In this case your order was $65.80 and did not qualify for the free shipping promotion that day. With all of that being said we realized that you had bought a $65.80 part and that shipping alone was twice the price of the product. We then contacted you to notify you of the shipping charges instead of just charging the credit card and shipping it to you. At that point we gave you the option to accept the shipping charges or simply cancel the order. We fully realized the issue and want this to be your decision prior to placing any charges on your card. You agreed to pay the shipping and authorized us to charge your account for the product plus shipping. If you where not happy with this or did not want to pay you simply should have canceled the order at that time. Again we in no way wanted to surprise or trick you. The price was $65.80. Shipping was $129. We noticed the issue and called you to let you know. You said you still wanted to proceed. We then charged the credit card and shipped the part to you. Unfortunately we have no control over freight charges, especially on large Freight items. If you have any other questions or concerns please contact us.
