I got one of their garage mats in 2021
I got one of their garage mats in 2021. It looks great, if you don't mind the way the ends stay slightly curled up forever. I got this garage mat to go on the floor of the garage, to park my pickup on, to keep the floor clean. Eventually, my pickup leaked a bit of oil. Good thing I have the mat to keep it off the floor and not make a stain. The only problem is that getting oil on this garage mat in the garage and under my pickup is that the oil reacted with the mat and caused it to distort and get wavy, over the entire surface. Good thing the garage mat that I got to put under my pickup in the garage, to keep stuff like oil off the floor, has a 20 year warranty. However, getting distorted from getting oil on it while protecting the floor of a garage, where you park your vehicles, is considered normal wear and tear and isn't covered by the warranty. It also took about 3 weeks of trying to get a response from customer service to find this out. So, long story short, their garage mats are fine if you don't expect them to lay flat on the ends and if you might get oil on it, you should be sure and cover it with a mat or something, that is designed for being used in a garage and for being placed under a vehicle that might leak some oil on it. In my original message to customer support, I explained that I put the mat out in the hot sun for a while, then tightly rolled it up on the cardboard tube it came with and let it cool and stay rolled up for a week. When I unrolled it it was exactly as wavy as when I started. When customer support finally told me the warranty didn't cover it, they suggested I put the mat out in the hot sun, to flatten it out. I can't make this up.... To sum up: I would not buy from them again and would not recommend American Floor Mats.
