This happens recently in October 2026. This Authorize.net bullshit conpany put holds on my account for nothing. No check was returned. They asked me for the invoices and lease document which I provided them immediately. They put hold and then they were not replying. Then they sent me email that your account is terminated and amount will be hold for minimum of 120 days. This bullshit company put my company as negative in NCN database for nothing. I know it because whwn i got services from other company, my payment declined due to NCN issue. If any NGO or any law enforcement agency is reading it, they should take strict action against that company so that next time they do not manipulate someone's status and hurt someone's business for nothing

Awful
Awful. They’ll accept your payments and then steal your money. Close your merchant account and then have the audacity to contact you to ask if you want to open another merchant account with them. They refuse to call you. Refuse to advise WHY they are “holding” funds and then say they have a minimum of 120 days to hold your money

Absolutely unacceptable
Absolutely unacceptable. Three Amex transactions that they cannot simply send to Amex and are holding the funds forever. I’ve call them more than 10 times already, and no solution. I will keep this negative review active until the issue is resolved.

Authorize.net Underwriting, Treated me like a criminal
We live in a time when receiving good customer service seems to be becoming a rare commodity.
My family has owned and operated businesses continuously in the Kansas City area for well over 110 years. Throughout that history, we have operated our businesses with integrity and have had very few, if any major incidents or complaints. In fact, we have never had a complaint filed against us with the Better Business Bureau.
I am also a disabled 47-year first responder with government clearances and a long history of serving my community. I have operated my current business for many years and have maintained an excellent payment-processing history.
I currently process approximately 100 transactions per month through Authorize.net, with no significant issues and, to my knowledge, remain in good standing. However, I have had ongoing problems with Authorize.net for several years, particularly with payments being rejected from established, known customers—some of whom have been customers of mine for many years. While the situation has improved somewhat, I still experienced at least three rejected transactions just this week.
Unfortunately, my biggest frustration has been with Authorize.net’s underwriting division. This has been an issue from the beginning.
I have repeatedly asked for a reasonable explanation as to why I am not permitted to offer my customers the option of paying by ACH. I am not asking for special treatment; I am simply asking for an explanation and an opportunity to have the decision reviewed.
Today, I received the following response:
“Hello, Your application was declined 8/8/25. We are unable to supply eCheck.net service for your account. You will need to work with your current MSP or Authorize.net support. No further emails will be replied to.”
I suppose I should be grateful that I received a response at all—even if it was essentially, “No, and please don't ask again.” LOL.
But seriously, this is not the level of customer service I would expect from a company handling approximately 100 transactions a month for a longstanding business customer.
I would simply like to know the reason for the denial, whether there is a specific underwriting concern that can be addressed, and whether someone with appropriate authority can review the decision. If there is a legitimate reason that my account does not qualify for ACH/eCheck.Net services, I believe I am entitled to a clear and professional explanation.
After a couple years of doing business with Authorize.net, I believe that is a reasonable request, and I feel they have treated me like some sort of criminal.

I'm not sure why all the negative comments…
I'm not sure what the negative comments are about. We are a small business and have been with Authorize since 2013. I came to write a review bc was just on with support twice with 2 of our accounts. And the support was amazing and fast. And their agents speak ENGLISH! Which is so rare these days. We've actually never had any issues with Authorize.net. Just an honest review.

Years of unnoticed fees; support access lost before refund dispute resolved
I recently discovered Authorize.net was still charging approximately $30 per month for a service I have not used since 2022. My experience trying to resolve this has been extremely frustrating.
My main concern is the lack of regular monthly billing reminders in the emails I could find. Small recurring debits were easy to overlook while I was not using the service. I did find a July 2023 email announcing an automatically enabled fraud-detection add-on and a $5 monthly fee, so I am not claiming there were no emails at all. But I could not find regular monthly statements or debit notifications, and my request for copies and sending records remains unanswered.
On September 10, 2026, I asked support to stop all further fees and refund the unused period. Support closed the gateway, confirmed no further gateway charges, and approved $180, described as six months of fees, with one to two weeks for it to arrive. The agent confirmed that this partial refund was unconditional. I have not accepted it as full settlement, and the money has not yet been verified as received.
The most troubling part was what happened while the rest of my refund request was still unresolved. After closure, I tried to open a support case, was redirected to a signed-out page, lost the live chat, and could no longer log in. I had repeatedly requested a supervisor review, billing records and a case number, but had not received a case reference or substantive answers about the missing monthly notices. I asked to stop being billed; I still needed access to pursue the complaint and obtain my records.
I then emailed a formal complaint to the support email address. Its automatic reply said the inbox was unmonitored and messages would not be read or answered, directing me back to signed-in chat/cases or telephone support. Losing access in the middle of an unresolved dispute made me feel shut out. I question whether the handling impeded my escalation and want an explanation; I cannot establish that the logout was deliberate or that account records were deleted.
I am asking Authorize.net for a full refund of all gateway and add-on fees during the unused period, less the $180 already approved, an itemized billing history, evidence of monthly notifications, preservation of the account and chat records, and a written response from a supervisor through an accessible channel. The exact remaining refund amount must be established from the billing records. I have also submitted a BBB complaint. As of this review, the full-refund dispute remains unresolved.
