CMC destruction from years of martial arts, carpentry and typing. Doctors prefer not to operate due to my age (too young, if you can believe that), and prefer to manage with Cortizone treatments. Those don't always address the moment to moment pain flare ups that literally stop me from speaking for a few moments, almost like a mini-seizure. The pain is quick, intense, random, and unsettling ... scratch that ... "WAS". With the CMC Thumb Brace, those flare ups ceased. That's all I needed. Age and activity make me use to related pain ... it's almost the price of being highly active. But the flare ups, well ... I also have that with my knees (tri-compartimental osteoarthritis in BOTH knees) and my left elbow (for which I DID have surgery), and I didn't need to be stopped from cooking, lacrosse, cutting the grass or anything else just because my thumb wasn't in the mood

Mistakenly ordered incorrect brace from Amazon. Returned, expecting correct one. Money was refunded from Amazon but I didn’t realize and kept waiting. Called Brace Lab directly, ordered from the nice person I spoke to and-tada 20.00 less! Win win

Accidentally order right size but wrong hand for the Push Metagrip. Called immediately and customer service was very helpful in cancelling the online order and reordering the correct item.

I have seen a hand specialist for a few years for severe cmc arthritis in my right thumb joint. Yes, surgery was recommended and cortisone shots are no longer effective. What to do? I researched braces, watched the videos, and decided on the Push MetaGrip. What a difference it has made. I wear it 24/7, and though I will get that surgery at some point, at least until then I can get relief from the horrific pain AND can use my right hand again.

The cmc joint brace let’s me work without thinking about the arthritis pain in my right hand. So far, holding off surgery!
