This is a confusing app. I did not find it to be helpful at all. It’s a bunch of nonsense scattered all over the place. Plus no where did it say that it was going to automatically renew. So I signed up for $29.99 I thought it was a one time fee. They automatically renewed my subscription for $99.99 for 3 months! When I told them I did not want this I was told I could only have gotten a refund during the first trial. So they won’t give my money back for automatically renewing it without my knowledge.

The renewal amount doesn't line up with what I'd expect from a $29.99 sign-up, and that on its own is worth checking properly. Please email [email protected] and mark it for my attention, with the email address on your account. I'll pull the actual plan and both charges and go through them with you. I'll also pass on what you've said about the app being hard to follow — that's the kind of thing the team needs to hear. Emma Lawson Head of Customer Support

Title: Misleading Subscription Renewal and Unfair Billing Practices I am very disappointed with Calmio’s subscription and renewal practices. My understanding was that my subscription would renew after three months. Instead, Calmio processed the renewal after 90 days. Three calendar months and 90 days are not necessarily the same, and that distinction matters when customers are planning to cancel before renewal. I had every intention of canceling before the renewal date. When I received notification that my subscription had been charged, I immediately canceled — literally within one minute of receiving the notification. I emailed them and asked them to refund the fees, since I obviously hadn’t used the account in weeks. They refused and admire obviously relying on deceptive practices to trick people into subscriptions. I believe this renewal practice is misleading and unfair to customers. A company should clearly communicate the exact renewal date rather than rely on potentially confusing terms. I would caution anyone considering Calmio to carefully review the subscription terms and renewal dates before signing up.

Thank you for setting this out so precisely. The renewal timing point is specific enough that I'd rather check it against your actual billing dates than answer it in general terms. Please email [email protected] and mark it for my attention, with the email address on your account. I'll look at when the subscription began, when it renewed, and the cancellation you made, and go through the refund request again myself. That you cancelled within a minute of being notified is worth weighing properly, and I'd like to be the one who does that. Emma Lawson Head of Customer Support
