But getting back to the first point, it looks like you've never registered to CodeMonkey, so you don't have a subscription, and there is nothing to cancel. Hi there, We are sorry to hear you had difficulties with cancelling your subscription. However, there are a few things that should be made clear: 1. The process to cancel a subscription is quite straightforward, transparent, and similar to many other services. Cancelling a subscription can be done from the 'My Account' section by clicking on your profile image. 2. We do offer a free trial period, it is for 7 days for a home user, which is the option you signed up for. Throughout the process, you received messaging about the 7-day trial multiple times and on top of that, you also received a clear message letting you know that you can cancel the first payment as long as you cancel before the free trial of 7 days ends. The actual charge happens automatically by a system that counts 7 days from the day, hour, and minute from which you signed up. So if we charged you, it means you did not cancel the subscription on time. 3. Important to note that our support team reacted to your request within 24 hours and resolved your issue within 48 hours, where you received a full refund.

Second, we have refunded you in full, so you can rest assured of that. Last, human error does occur from time to time and does not reflect the service we usually offer and of course the product itself. We’d like to clarify that this is not accurate. Nowhere on our website do we claim that the program is entirely free. Instead, we state "Start for Free" and "Free 7-day Trial," which means users can explore the platform before committing to a paid subscription. Additionally, while we do request credit card details upon sign-up, no charges are made during the trial period. This approach is common among many reputable companies, including Apple, Amazon, and Netflix, which also require payment details before granting trial access. Just like these platforms, users can easily cancel their subscription within the trial period to avoid being charged. Hi Kahil, to start with, CodeMonkey is a legal and operating company for over 10 years. Deleting an account is something that every user can do on their own, all you have to do is go to ‘my account’ and click on the delete account. Additionally, from our records there is no indication that you have tried to contact us, not by phone and not by email. CodeMonkey serves millions of students worldwide and although at times a bug might occur, the system is not glitchy, not fake and is approved by many educational institutions, educational standards and is one of the leading softwares in the industry.

Hi Simon, CodeMonkey uses the most common method used today with regard to its free trial subscription, similar to many other companies like Apple, Amazon, Netflix just to name a few more famous ones. When signing up for a free trial, you also include your payment details, it is common practice and nothing out of the ordinary. Additionally, similar to all the other companies, you as a user can simply cancel your subscription within the free trial period and not get billed, as simple as that.

Hi Julia, We thank you for bringing this to our attention. However, a few things should be made clearer: 1. CodeMonkey offers its home users 7 days free trial before billing the customer. Upon the 8th day the system automatically bills the customer. If the customer did not cancel the billing in time, like in this case, the customer is billed. This is explained very clearly during the signup process. 2. A full refund was enabled within 2 business days, which is a good response time for such a task for any support team in any company. In general, if you think it is a good product, your child loved it and you received your refund within quite a reasonable time, this review perhaps should be updated to reflect it more truthfully.

Hi Sharad, We are sad to hear your experience was not a good one, however, the following should be made clear. CodeMonkey made the process as transparent as possible for parents when signing up. Throughout the entire process we specify that when signing up you will receive a free trial and when that free trial ends, you will be billed, unless the trial was not canceled before. After all, you have inserted your financial details in the system, so you can not be surprised that we billed you. From our records, you have cancelled your subscription the day after the free trial ended. This is why you were billed. Moreover, after you cancelled your subscription, you have received a full refund. This shows the system is working as it should and CodeMonkey was transparent and responsive as it could be.
