I posted this on my IG page. “ I have a love/hate relationship with the Instagram algorithm. They definitely know how to monopolize on your emotions when you lose a pet or loved one. When Macho passed away I was flooded with advertisements for ways to memorialize him; shadow boxes, vials of fur, photos, ornaments, blankets, pillows. I’m shocked I have money left because their targeted advertising works! I bought this amazing canvas photo collage of his best features. His booper that could sniff out the smallest morsel in the tiniest crevice, his soft ears that heard me open the fridge every morning and night and the paw that he so freely gave whenever a treat was offered. Instagram has also shown me dogs at every local rescue shelter, puppies, old dogs, dogs that have been abused, dogs needing a foster and dogs that look just like my Dude. If it weren’t for my husband, we’d be fostering a mama dog with 9 pittie puppies! Maybe someday. But right now I still can’t put away his things or donate his unopened food.”
