Cracker BarrelReviews of crackerbarrel.com

This will be the first time I was told by the person behind register where to grab my to-go bag. Usually the person will retrieve the bag for the customer. Probably because I did not tip for the to-go order. I found it off putting because that’s their area not the customers area. Whatever

Chicken was like rubber, wife hated it. Pecan pancakes were good. Side of bacon was a rip off, they took whole slices and cut them in half by the looks they were like 3" long. Also double.charged my credit card, went back the next day and they said they would have to ask corporate for a refund. Week later and nothing so I disputed it. I asked how they could balance their receipts and got nothing. Guy in front of me had card issues so I asked if they would look at his and they said his problem if he doesn't call he out the money. LESSON IS EVERYONE CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARDS AFTER YOU GO TO CRACKER BARREL IT APPEARS THEY DONT VERIFY RECEIPTS AGAINST CHARGES LIKE THEY SHOULD.

Lately, I've noticed a decline in the quality and taste of the turnip greens. It appears and tastes like they use old meat to season the greens. The texture of the meat is like chewing on a spit ball.😖The last few times I've patronized them, they failed to put the basic condiment (butter) to go with my cornbread muffins even after asking when I put my order in.

Sitting here now. Terrible service. Another new menu! Difficult to find what I want. Close these restaurants. That previous ceo screwed the pooch on this chain.

We stopped at the cracker barrel in murrells Inlet sc The waitress Kimberly was awesome and very helpful!!!! the little lady sitting us had such a sweet spirit!!!! I ordered meatloaf/chicken love the chicken but my meatloaf was not cooked it was red Inside and I've had it many times!!!! the manager Sean came to my table and provided me info that it was done and sorry it wasnt!!!! they took it off my plate and Kimberly asked if she could bring me anything else I said no and Sean didn't do nothing about it nothing off he is worthless!!! he did not handle this well wow and he's the MANAGER!!!! Thanks Kimberly she sound be the manager cause she cares!!!!!!!!

The last few times have been s o disappointing. We arrived around 1230 in the afternoon and they were already out of fried chicken. That happened on my prior visit as well. The mashed potatoes were cold. The country fried steak was good. The salad looked to be a few packets of ingredients in a bowl for me to mix. I never got my fried okra. Servers were overwhelmed. Ours basically took our order, dropped off our food and then came back with the check. So many changes over the years people from the 90s would not recognize this place. I think it trying to be a health food store.

The menu keeps changing and quality control is slipping. This is presently my favorite go to place for home style comfort food and for the atmosphere. But why are you trying to push loyal diners away? Regionally, I was big fan of Bob Evans restaurants, which still holds on, but they too have lost their charm and suffer greatly for it. Same thing: revised menus, patron favorites are dropped and service has suffered. CB enjoys a unique position many other chains would enjoy and you keep messing with success. If you want sales to improve then return to where you started. Ditch the CEO with her grandiose ideas that appear part of the issue. Otherwise, I'll just look somewhere else. The hospitality business does not lack for competition and who knows, you may force me to look elsewhere and find something else I may like as well, or better.

Unfortunately the restaurants have had a rebrand. Now they don't have the same feel, plus tables that are too high for the chairs they provide you with . We left one restaurant as they could not assist in trying to make the seat higher. Also the waitress chewing her gum welcoming us, was like she was chatting with friends not professional. The second restaurant offered us to look at a booth. We tried this and it was slightly better, so we ate there as we had visited last year and my daughter was looking forward to going back. Here the staff were friendlier and more accomodating
