This company is in the business of selling leads to service providers. Those leads are generated by people/businesses who respond to the promise that you will "Receive Proposals from 5 Hand Picked Agencies". In other words, DesignRush will provide a short list of vetted agencies thereby accelerating vendor selection and improving vendor relevance. HAHA. My experience was as follows: designrush told me I had to meet with all 5 of the companies they advocated, which I came to understand was because those meetings were sold to firms looking for customers. The basic problem with this business is that because the customer side is not monetized directly, DesignRush is significantly incented to sell leads that arent a good match. As a customer who had to pre-commit (without visibility into the quality of the short list of vendors) to meet with each vendor, this ended up being an exercise in how much I valued keeping my word as opposed to exploring useful opportunities to engage a firm. In other words, the companies were not a good fit. I have to say the whole thing felt misrepresented and borderline fraudulent in that a generalized claim about their value add in curating a list of candidates was not fulfilled. I was merely a lead to be sold. Dont waste your time using them if you are looking for anything but some basic web development.
