Very nice economic property and very clean

Located within walking distance of a lot of food and shops. Room was compact but nice and loved the wood flooring! The only things that were kind of a con was I don’t think our floor was swept at all for the whole stay, the shower doesn’t have a door so shower kept soaking the towel and floor when stepping out. Also we had to daily for extra towels because they initially would just give two sets for the day. Other than that I did enjoy the stay and how quickly someone responds to any issue.

We were very pleased with Domum de Vence great location, walking distance to downtown Galveston. Would highly recommend.

This older house does not keep up with Texas Heat!!! Way too hot in these rooms. They said the AC units were new but our room never got below 80 degrees even in the middle of the night. Plugs in the bathroom area are close to the shower with no door so if anything is plugged in, if you try to take it out, you might get electrocuted. I text the hotel around 10pm and got a response, but then again at 230 am they messaged me again, different information. We were asleep!!!! Will NEVER use this place again. ** response to below "explanation" ** After just now reading reviews we are NOT the only ones who had AC problems. May be time to upgrade the system again!! May cost more on the electric bill but having happy customers would mean more to me than that! Also!! Handicap access would be great too!! Waited outside, after going to my vehicle to get something, for a handicap man and his family to get him inside for about 20 min!
