Urgent Concern: Possible Scam and Lack of Customer Support

Notice of Fraud, Negligence, and Intent to Pursue Legal Action if You Retaliate Editage is a fraudulent company that lacks qualified PhD scholars capable of proper proofreading. This misconduct will be publicly exposed, and I will issue a press release to inform and protect the public. ChatGPT said: Clarissa, Lorna, and several other professionals serve as caregivers for the disabled patient. This is our account: Sneha Putsherry and Rachelle at Editage operate a fraudulent company. Their actions caused my disabled patient significant mental strain, resulting in hospitalization. They have demonstrated clear incompetence. A press release will be issued to formally warn the public. Your team’s repeated failure to understand the scope of the assignment demonstrates a clear lack of the detail-oriented focus that was explicitly requested. We were precise in requiring that you proofread the work; any rewrites should have first been directed to the patient, as she is the author of the manuscript. My legal counsel has determined that this conduct constitutes both fraud and medical negligence. Your customer support team at Editage has placed the entire medical team under significant mental strain, which ultimately led my patient to require emergency hospital care. These issues will be documented publicly as discriminatory. Your customer service team repeatedly disconnected the line when we articulated our concerns. If your company retaliates or refuses to accept accountability, we will escalate this matter legally. At Editage, we take academic integrity very seriously. We’ve seen the concerns raised here and want to address them openly. We were recently approached with a project that required reviewing case studies, identifying themes, and drawing conclusions — tasks that fall under authorship as defined by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) guidelines. In line with these standards, we declined the project. While we understand this may have caused disappointment, protecting the integrity of research and authorship is central to the trust our clients place in us. Don't bother
Don't bother. 3 days later and still no email response. Their WhatsApp chat help desk doesn't work. Their Calendly link is broken. Sat on the phone for 15 minutes then they disconnected the call on hold.

I'm receiving spam emails from this company even though I never subscribed or was interested in their services. It's also impossible to unsubscribe.

Be aware of malpractice
Be aware of malpractice! They bombard me with spam mail, even though I have never subscribed. The unsubscribe button doesn't work either. I would avoid them at all cost.

Never, never, never use this company!! They’re a joke, have no idea what they are doing. They’re a scam!!!

Very disappointing experience – will never use again
This was my first time using Editage, and it will also be my last. The quality of the editing was unacceptable: there were still spelling and punctuation errors, terminology was inconsistent, and the formatting was not done according to my instructions. I expected a polished document, but instead I had to spend more time fixing their mistakes. On top of that, customer support was inconsistent—sometimes unhelpful, and at times even rude and hostile depending on who handled my query. For a service that positions itself as professional, this is simply not acceptable. I strongly advise others not to waste their time or money here. There are better alternatives that will respect both your work and you as a client.
