I'm fairly new to EstateExec and happy overall so far. It seems pretty intuitive and has a lot of great functionality. The customer service has been good though not having the ability to do video calls and screen share seemed like a barrier, the guy I spoke with over the phone was able to successfully work through my questions.

The software covered all the generalities and got me off on the right foot. I did need to hire an attorney to represent the trust due to a beneficiary conflict.

I really wanted to give it 3 stars…
I really wanted to give it 3 stars however Ive tried other estate apps out there and honestly estateexec is leaps and bounds above the others. The problems I have with it are for one it has been very difficult to learn where and how to input assets and transactions and also to learn how the app interacts with itself. Also I don't like how in some tabs if you inputting the wrong amount essentially the only way to fix it is to delete entire transaction and create a new one. Also and this is the most frustrating thing for me. After spending an hr or more figuring out a way to organize the assets in an order I really liked, when I converted to a pdf file in order to print, the order was no longer the same. So I close the pdf and what's on my screen is exactly what I want. I go back to create pdf and it's in a different order. So insanely annoying.
Response from EstateExec· Mar 24, 2026
Kitty, thank you for the thoughtful review. We hear your frustrations, and would genuinely like to help resolve them (we're also very grateful for your comment that EstateExec is leaps and bounds above the others).
Even though we try to make EstateExec easy to use, there's a lot of functionality there... which is why we offer *unlimited support* with fast response times. Our goal is to help you stay on track, understand the software more easily, and move forward with confidence rather than losing time to trial and error.
A few of the issues you mentioned are actually straightforward to fix once you know where to look. For example, if you want to create a PDF that preserves the exact order shown on your screen, use the table menu in the upper-right corner of the table and select “Export to PDF (as shown).” There are also different ways to enter, edit, and organize assets and transactions depending on what you’re trying to do, and we’d be happy to walk you through the best approach.
Please email [email protected]. We’d love the chance to help you get everything working the way you want, answer any questions you have, and get you back on track as quickly as possible.

No regrets
This is a revised review with an improved score and more positive feedback. The tool’s features are intuitive and easy to learn and are further enhanced by the real time tool tips. Their library of knowledge around the management of estates and trusts is really helpful as well. Initially, I had trouble viewing/running specific reports I needed, and my emails to Support were being treated as spam by mistake, so I got off to a rocky start with the app and the service. However, I had a great experience with support today (on par with other reviews that mentioned great service) and all is resolved. Ultimately, EstateExec is a solid product designed to make the lives and work of Executors/Trustees much easier, and I’m glad I signed up.

I wish I had found this sooner
I wish I had found this sooner. I was already about 90% thru probate before searching for executor fees for Texas. This is when I stumbled across Estate Exec. Since it walks you thru the whole process I did review the steps to see where I was in the process, according to them. Indeed I was pretty much done, with just a couple steps to wrap things up. In my situation things are on hold until things finalize in other states. This program really does outline steps and help you keep track of what's been done and what needs to still be done. I recommend you start with this from the beginning.

EstateExec Newbie
I knew very little about how to set up the necessary documentation for an estate. I searched the internet and found a reference to EstateExec. I decided to look more carefully at the program and used their free trial version. It showed me the different types of tasks I would have to do and suggested in what time frame they should be done.
In using the program I ran into a problem understanding exactly the difference between executor expenses and cost flow entries. I wrote customer support and they corrected my error and explained the issue.
I have not completed my work yet but am a satisfied user. I like being able to print the various data sets in either Excel or PDF format. It makes it easy for me to keep interested parties informed. $99 well spent.
