Terrible business. Hit me with so many hidden charges every month that I ended up paying 24 percent on my sales. When I complained, they said they would remove many of the fees and they would for a month or two and then sneak them back in. They sent me a "Free Machine" to use but then said they would charge me $695 if I didnt return it within 10 days of cancelling the service. I had been using it for 2 years. Terrible, corrupt and unethical.

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with EVO Payments due to a serious and ongoing issue that has remained unresolved for over two and a half weeks. Despite following every instruction and submitting all necessary documents to update our bank account information, EVO continues to hold our funds without providing a clear resolution or timely support. Our experience with your customer service has been extremely frustrating. Communication has been poor, and the support we received has been inconsistent and unhelpful. Each time we contacted your team, we were either given conflicting information or no real progress was made on our issue. This delay has caused significant disruptions to our business operations. We rely on timely access to our funds to pay suppliers, staff, and meet other critical obligations. EVO’s inability to resolve this matter in a reasonable timeframe is unacceptable. We chose EVO under the assumption that we would receive reliable service and support. Unfortunately, that has not been the case. We urge you to take immediate action to release our funds and finalize the bank account change without any further delay. TERRIBLE Customer Service. Hearing "I understand sir." fifty times when funds aren't being released, but to follow it up with "This will take 3-7 business days to process." afterwards... And I've called them every day for the past 10 business days - to hear the exact same thing.

SCAM..beware...they have no interest in releasing funds...use every excuse they can...30 days til payment 60 days til payment now 90 days...then they claim it was sent the $$ to the State of Illinois.... I've sent my letter to Illinois BBB, have my attorney sending a demand letter. They are off shore as well so beware....

very evry bad, thieves. I came to an agreement with Takepayment, but they are partnered with Evo, and I keep receiving incorrect amounts in my account. I call them, and they assure me that they will fix it, but they never do. They are no different from thieves.

This company denied us a merchant account in March of 2017. They stated "Unfortunately, the underwriter will not be able to approve the account given the documents that have already been submitted. We can wait until you have formally filed, but we would need a 501c3 to complete underwriting on the account" after initially approving us. We went with BB&T (now Truist). Years later, they started charging us for the account they never approved without any sort of notification. We realized it JUST NOW because they don't put their name in the statement line next to the charge. When I contacted them with clear evidence that they never approved us, Kelli R (Senior Representative) responds: "The account was approved as the email below states... (referring to the initial approval)" "The account was approved and opened with the understanding you would get the 501c3 form. Any transactions would have been held in reserve until the account was cleared through underwriting. " Meanwhile, the email exchange from underwriting clearly stated: "We apologize for the lack of communication! In order to complete the underwriting process, we require a 501c3 form to verify your tax exempt (non-profit) status." We never sent that because we went with Truist. THOUSANDS stolen by this terrible company.

Stay away from this company. Take your business elsewhere. They continue to charge your account an insane amount every month while inactive.Lack of communication and once you do finally cancel, they continue to take the next month payment out of your account. They charge you 300+ for equipment that has not returned when they fail to notify you or send a return shipping label. Company is a Rip- Off. Also Eva Merchant has been in few class action lawsuits as well. Seriously take your business elsewhere.

I have been a client with EVO payments for 10 years. In December I called to notify that I would be transitioning my business and wanted to do online payments. I inquired regarding if there were any charges if I wanted to cancel and I was told NO. I stopped using my terminal for processing payments, and was told I didn’t have to return it. I signed up with Payfabric and it was the WORST exp ever. It took OVER 3 weeks and multiple telephone calls to set up. Finally on 3 January it was set up. Then I realized my fees had increased and I was still be charged a processing fee in addition to the Payfabric fees and my percentage rate increased in December. I STOPPED using there services on a weekend 1 February 25, and my business was closed. I requested an account review and reduction of my transaction fees on 3 February and NEVER received the PROMISED Supervisor callback in 10-14 business days. I told them that I wanted to cancel if my fees weren’t reduced. It took OVER 2 weeks and multiple emails and calls before finally on February 28 my accounts were canceled. No one mentioned ANY fees and recall I verified this TWO months prior that I could cancel as I was transitioning my business. Yes I was charged an exorbitant fee and now have to deal with their POOR Customer Support to find out why. I had a great sales representative since I signed up with EVO Payments who left late 2023, since then EVERYTHING went DOWNHILL.
