Food Forest NurseryReviews of foodforestnursery.com

Beautiful, sturdy young trees and responsive customer service. The website is very professional so when I first ordered I didn't realize it was a small family owned nursery. I prefer to deal with those kinds of businesses where possible. Very much appreciate their dedication to a permaculture approach (e.g., they don't use polymer nursery gels and other such "shortcuts")

Great response time and shipping. Exactly as described and my plants are doing great. They gave me bonus plants and they are doing great. Will buy again from them.

I can't believe how big and healthy everything was! Head's above all of the other sites I have bought from. I am 100% using Food Forest Nursery for all of my plants going forward. I was literally blown away... you guys are AMAZING!

So I purchased some trees just a couple. I’m not a big grower and two of them died so I contacted them and they immediately replaced them but wait there’s more instead of sending me two replacements they sent me like 10.!!! I had to find places to put plum trees ! These people take customer service very seriously !

Ordered five plants from Food Forest Nursery -- Ponca and Ouachita blackberries, Legacy blueberry, Fall Gold raspberry, and Savanna Zap black currant. Everything arrived carefully packed with healthy, well-developed root systems and went straight into the ground. Derek's communication was excellent from order to delivery -- you always knew where things stood. Quality stock from a small business that genuinely cares about what they send out. Will definitely be ordering again.

I just recieved my order of trees yesterday and I couldn't be happier! We placed them all in the ground today with some compost and lots of water. This is our first time growing fruit and nut trees of our own on our property. I wanted to also thank you so much for the free gift of a plum tree. I love all of the information you have to offer online about bare root trees. I learned about you from one of mt favorite homesteaders: Barefootmimosas. I saved your page and we now finally have gotten some trees of our own! Thank you for all that you do and provide! Jackie

I received 4 extra trees from a 16 tree order of the species I had ordered, plus an additional bonus tree of a similar variety. So 21 in total. Really generous bonus I hadn't seen before. They arrived in moist wood shavings bound in plastic wrap in excellent condition and with good root systems for their size and species. No issues noted and the chestnuts were in a rush to bud! These guys do not give wimpy root stock like I've had from some vendors either.

I get very sentimental about food trees because there is a spirituality to cultivating plants that grow food, so it means a lot to me that I have been able to get fruit trees for myself and my family across multiple years from Food Forest Nursery. So far, every tree I've gotten from them has survived, arrived packaged with care in good condition, and has thrived, with some trees we bought only last year already bearing fruit. And in a time when most businesses are charging us more and giving less there is also something meaningful that they have sent surprise free plants with our orders. With everything going sideways in the world it's very nice that there are people who use their business to invest in a future where people are fed and there are more beautiful trees. It's nice when you are having a hard day and then a stranger has given you a free raspberry plant that can grow and bloom and fruit for years.
