First, just to clarify: Alby Hub is free and open-source software. Anyone can run it themselves at no cost. Our hosted service is entirely optional and meant as a convenience for users who prefer not to self-host. Regarding inactivity fees: these only apply to the hosted service to cover infrastructure and operational costs. Any user can request and receive a refund of charged inactivity fees — we do not aim to “drain” balances, and we’re happy to correct this if something wasn’t clear or handled properly. We also want to address your concern about support. Our support is handled by real people, not bots, and we genuinely aim to respond thoughtfully and in a timely manner. If you felt your questions weren’t properly understood, that’s on us — and we’d appreciate the chance to look at your specific case again and resolve it properly.
