I use the Graston Technique every day I am working in the clinic. I believe that the instruments we use matters very little compared to the philosophy of this system. It is more than simply grabbing an instrument using an instrument to mobilize the soft tissue, it's more the what, why and how. Once you can understand the concepts you can begin to apply them to your treatment plan. You can also understand when and where it is recommended to apply the treatments to get the most effective treatments with the time you have with your patients.

This is an excellent resource for patients, athletes, trainers, therapists, chiropractors, and physicians. There is a library of resources supporting the latest information on instrument assisted therapy to address myofascial dysfunction. There’s a Locate A Practitioner page- very useful listings. Live chat will answer any questions, or forward them to an appropriate person. There’s a listing of basic and advanced training sessions for health care practitioners. Check it out!

I use my Graston Technique for the benefit of the athletic population that I work with, and have found it to be a positive additional therapy to use when working to control symptoms and improve patient tolerance when performing rehabilitation.

Graston Technique has provided excellent outcomes for many of our patients. The training in combination with the instruments makes it the treatment of choice for IASTM.
