I knew I wanted my career to move in some kind of new direction but had no idea what that would be. HTYC provided the structure to navigate that ambiguity and I came out the other side with greater confidence, self awareness, and some amazing job offers. Shout out to my coach Nicole for the insightful guidance, thoughtful challenges, and knowing the best way to guide me.

If you feel lost in your career, you need HTYC
I absolutely loved my time working with my coach at Happen To Your Career. I was navigating both a major career transition and life transition (pregnant with my first baby) at the same time and knew I needed some extra support instead of figuring it out on my own. I came into coaching wanting more clarity about what was next, and thought we had found the answer, but then baby came along and when I returned from maternity leave, I realized my priorities had shifted in ways I hadn’t fully anticipated. Coaching gave me the space to make sense of that change and chart a better path forward instead of forcing myself back into my old version of success.
My coach helped me evaluate opportunities through a personalized lens based on my strengths and the things that energize me, especially as my life and priorities changed after becoming a parent. Thanks to my time with HTYC I ultimately made decisions that better support my family, my energy, and my longer-term goals, while also leaving room for future possibilities like teaching, creative work, or a portfolio career.
I’m leaving this stage with more confidence, stronger self-trust, and a much clearer understanding of how to make career decisions that fit both my interests and my life, and I couldn't have done it without my coach's guidance. Cannot recommend enough!

Hey Jennie!
When life shifts, our priorities shift with it, and giving yourself permission to honor that is huge. I’m so glad coaching gave you the space to figure out what fits now, not just what used to. Wishing you and your family all the best as you step into what’s next! ✨

Career and Industry Pivot - HTYC Helped Make It Possible
HTYC is exactly what I needed to make a meaningful career pivot. For months, years really, I had thought about what I could do to move into a new field. This program, especially my coach, Nicole, helped me figure our what my real strengths are, and strategy to investigate potential career paths and eventually network my way to my next chapter. Nicole was a huge asset every step of the way, especially when my family decided to turn my career change into a relocation. Can't recommend HTYC enough. If you considering a career change and need help navigating through it, work with HTYC.

Working with Happen To Your Career…
Working with Happen To Your Career (and, in particular, with my coach, Nicole!) helped me figure out what I truly wanted from the next chapter of my career. After 20+ years in market research and insights, I knew I was ready for something different, but translating decades of experience into a new direction felt daunting. Through coaching, I gained clarity around the work I wanted to be doing, the strengths I wanted to use more of, and the kind of organization where I would thrive. I realized I wanted to move away from highly transactional, quota-driven sales roles and toward work where I could build meaningful relationships, serve as a strategic advisor, and contribute to an organization whose work I genuinely believed in.
What I appreciated most was that the process wasn’t about simply finding another job; it was about understanding what kind of work would actually be a better fit for me and then developing a strategy to pursue it. Nicole helped me see how transferable my experience really was, explore possibilities outside my industry, and stay focused on what mattered most to me throughout the job search and interview process.
I ultimately accepted a leadership role in the nonprofit sector that brings together so much of what I was looking for: relationship-building, strategic advising, leadership, and the opportunity to help shape the direction of an organization. Making a significant industry transition after such a long career in one field is something I’m very proud of, and I’m incredibly grateful to HTYC for helping me navigate it with clarity and confidence.

Susan, congratulations! Making a move like this after 20+ years in one field takes real courage, and you should be incredibly proud. It’s been a joy to be part of your journey, and I know Nicole feels the same. Keep in touch with how the new role is going as we're wising you all the best!

Useful in ways I could not have anticipated!
Troubleshooting with a career coach (Leigh is excellent!) helped me figure out how to network (relatively) painlessly, how LinkedIn ACTUALLY works, what the labor market is up to, and other contextual clues that have nothing to do with knowing what you want or what you’re good at.. in the 21st century, with AI everywhere, you need a guide to the new ecosystem. This is it.
Response from Happen To Your Career· Oct 22, 2026
Portia, “troubleshooting with a career coach” is such a great way to put it! The entire world of work has shifted, and nobody should have to figure it out alone. Making work more human, one person at a time, is exactly why we do this. Leigh will be so happy to hear this. Thank you for sharing!

R&R: Rebuilding Confidence & Rebuilding Career Search
I came to HTYC at a different point in my career journey—I was already out of work and needed direction as I figured out what was next. Amy helped me rebuild my confidence and, more importantly, change how I viewed myself and the value I bring. She also pushed me to expand my job-search approach, from broadening my networking to looking beyond my immediate area for opportunities, while staying flexible enough to refocus when needed. I still have work to do in my journey, but I’m moving forward with a stronger mindset, greater clarity, and plenty of moments of both laughter and tears along the way.
Response from Happen To Your Career· Oct 22, 2026
Melissa, thank you for sharing this so openly.
Rebuilding confidence while you’re in the middle of a search is some of the hardest (and most important) work there is, and it sounds like you and Amy dug in together. The laughter and the tears both count! We’re rooting for you every step of the way. Let us know how your journey is going.

Thoughtful Guidance During a Major Career Transition
After nearly 20 years at Wells Fargo, I found myself at an important career crossroads. I knew I wanted my next chapter to look different, but I needed help gaining clarity on what that could become.
Working with Happen To Your Career, and especially with my coach, Nicole Croizier, helped me find that. Nicole has a remarkable ability to listen, ask insightful questions, and challenge my thinking in a way that helped me better understand my strengths, values, and long-term goals.
Rather than pushing me toward another traditional corporate role, the coaching helped me thoughtfully explore a portfolio career that includes advisory work, consulting, board service, and entrepreneurship. While that journey is still evolving, I now have far greater clarity, confidence, and a framework for evaluating opportunities that truly align with the life and career I want to build.
Looking back several months after completing the program, I appreciate even more how much our coaching conversations have influenced the way I've approached this transition. The value of the experience has continued well beyond our final session.
I'm incredibly grateful for Nicole's guidance and encouragement throughout the process. If you're navigating a significant career transition and looking for a thoughtful, supportive partner to help you discover what's next, I highly recommend Happen To Your Career.
Response from Happen To Your Career· Oct 22, 2026
Mark, thank you for this thoughtful review! 🙌 Hearing that the coaching keeps paying off months after your final session is honestly one of the best things you could tell us. A portfolio career is such an exciting path, and I can’t wait to see how yours unfolds. Nicole will be so touched by this. 🧭

Amazing experience with HTYC!
I had a wonderful experience with HTYC. I turned to them after feeling stuck and disengaged at work for several years. I wasn’t having success making a transition on my own. I’d listened to the podcast and read the book and liked their approach so gave it a try. It was a great decision. My coach Nicole helped me every step of the way, starting with identifying what energized/drained me at both the company and role level. Working with me to identify and articulate my strengths helped me tell my story in a more effective way during networking conversations. My networking approach was more targeted and gave me the courage to explore totally different roles across industries and uncover some interesting companies that weren’t ever on my radar. When I was interviewing, the mock interviews and guidance on follow up were so useful. She helped me fill in gaps I didn’t even realize I had, strengthening my position more than I could’ve done on my own. I really felt like it made a huge difference in my interview process. I had great rapport with her and looked forward to meeting with her every week. She was so useful in building my confidence and being strategic. I was so happy to land an amazing job. Having done the work to think about my ideal role and company fit made me know it was the right move. I’m happy to say it’s working out great, and I’m much happier, with every aspect of my work life! I would recommend HTYC for anyone feeling stuck or who wants a guided, strategic, and customized approach.
