Their fees are higher than the toll itself. Customer service is very poor. We were just passed around with no resolve. I hope this get attention and whoever manages this tollway gets investigated.

I’ve had a positive experience with The Illinois Tollway. The online services are convenient, and it’s easy to access information about tolls and payments. The process is generally straightforward, and I appreciate having useful services available online. Overall, it has been a convenient experience.

Skip this state as a whole if possible
This system is so flawed it’s actually embarrassing. You can have 10$ on your ipass account ull drive through 4 tolls but somehow have $-2 and it dosent tell u where the money went. Tolls do not sync properly and will not allow you to pay them on time. They will show up exactly a month after driving through them with a bunch of late fees even though u never actually had the option to see or pay them before they were considered “late” They will charge you for the same tolls over and over with slight time adjustments but they don’t send any invoices or receipts of what u have paid so unless u taking a million screenshots it’s a pain to prove it. Even if you do prove it good luck trying to resolve it with customer service they are all extremely ratchet and ghetto with the most horrible attitudes. This is one of the major reasons I am moving out of this state driving thru two 0.75c tolls a day should not cost me over $1000 a year

I wish I could give them negative stars. We all know how incompetent the government is with just about anything and everything they touch. BUT my god, nothing worked. Couldn't reach customer service, links on their website wouldn't work. Emails to customer service would always trigger errors. SUCH A JOKEEEEEEE

The Only Thing Getting Scanned Here Is Our Patience
My plates are registered, transponder stickers are properly mounted on the windshields, and a valid credit card is on file. Despite this, the system repeatedly fails to read the transponder and instead resorts to license plate scanning — then has the audacity to tack on $40 invoicing fees for its own scanning failures.
To top it off, the credit card on file — which works perfectly fine everywhere else — somehow can't be charged, resulting in additional fines. If the account information is already in your system, why are customers being penalized for your technology failing to use it?
This is textbook Illinois bureaucracy: collect money, deliver nothing, and make it the customer's problem.
Drive from Florida to Illinois and you'll enjoy 12 hours of smooth, well-maintained, toll-free highways. The moment you hit Chicagoland, you're paying tolls to drive on some of the worst roads in the country — potholes, uneven pavement, debris everywhere. For what amounts to a world-class toll collection operation, the infrastructure it supposedly funds is an embarrassment. Illinois is a 3rd-4th world country - good job Ipass + Ilinois tollway.

Got a email with a verification code. Code doesn't work. Click to resend new email verification code. Get no new email. I pay for the roads and I get charged to use them? And they won't let me pay it? Thanks trump.

Illinois tollway people are terrible
Rented a car. Went on to the Illinois tollway site to register the rental car. Listed it as a passenger car instead of a fleet car. Got charged by the rental car company plus a fine.
Illinois tollway people are terrible. Registered the rental car on time at the correct time of toll, didn't matter,.got charged extra by the rental c as r company anyway.
If I made a crappy website in private industry as bad as the Illinois tollway people and charged people because of the stupid website I would not have a good business. But I guess it's good to have a total monopoly like these a-holes.

Someone signed up with my email address, and they didn't even verify it or send a confirmation link. Now they are sending me balance updates for someone I don't know, and I can't unsubscribe or do anything. Bad experience.
