i used to have this for my math homework and i have 3 words to say DONT. USE. IXL. it is the worst platform ever ive spent nights crying about this just dont use this plz its for your own good

Every. Single. Time. I get homework for IXL and that's not the bad part - average homework is 100 areas. I was on a question, they kept getting harder and harder and guess what? My smartscore (your smartscore has to get to 100 to beat a area) was 99. Each question correct would give me 2 smartscore and I got ONE incorrect. Went from 99 all the way to 32... Listen, don't use IXL.

I used IXL and it was a very unpleasant experience. The SmartScore system is overwhelmingly frustrating for school-age children. As you get close to completing an IXL, a single mistake (even a typo) takes away 10-12 points, yet a correct answer will only give you two points. Also, the explanations for the topic can be unclear sometimes. I would advise IXL to balance out the number of points you get from a correct vs. incorrect answer. IXL has also tracked and sold data from K-12 students and is currently involved in a lawsuit. In addition, some features of IXL will occasionally bug out and cause students to repeat work. Most people who use it are extremely frustrated with it. I strongly recommend that you stay away from it.

ts is literally one of the worst websites known to man. i'm an 8th grader and have been doing this since 6th grade. I think my anger issues have started from this. The website looks insanely outdated, and the SmartScore system is trash. It literally gives you TWO measly points when you get it right, and if you go down, it removes 10 or more... im genuinely crying rn. ixl devs, fix this now or ill report u.

So very annoying and quite stupid. I really hate ixl and I always will. I have used ixl for a while and it will always make me feel more stressed and angry. It is unfair and it is not helpful.
