Low-intensity shockwave therapy is designed to stimulate tissue repair and new blood-vessel growth. It’s normal for some patients to have temporary tenderness or mild, short-lived bruising from tiny surface vessels after treatment. Importantly, the full regenerative response often takes time—many patients see their best results between 3–6 months as the body remodels and heals. That said, any sudden change in function deserves prompt attention.
