BEWARE of AIDA leadership-they have dishonored their word
Update: March 9, 2023
In the Jan 2023 response, AIDA leadership said " The door is still open for Kay to get the help she needs, and we would love to help her get there so she can get what she came for". Multiple requests to use the "open door" to communicate about the situation, or "get the help" have been repeatedly ignored.
After reviewing the MANY changes and revamps in the program, AIDA looks updated, more scaffolded and more aligned with adult learning principles.
These changes were largely made based on the extreme challenges and struggles, ideas, feedback of September 2022 cohort members and myself. We did not receive proper acknowledgement and AIDA has benefited financially by raising the price.
There is no valid reason not to refund my $6400. AIDA HAS given refunds; it was done very recently.
I will continue to update this review for full transparency.

Buyer Beware
Buyer Beware...I shared the following in an instructional design group after being asked if people in AIDA were paid to recruit. I posted a screenshot in a thread mentioning AIDA. the following is verbatim the words of owner Jill Davidan from her AIDA member page: “Attention: We have increased referral bonuses for our January Workshop from $250 to $500! This means for every person you refer to the January Jumpstart workshop who ultimately joins AIDA outside of the workshop), you will get $500 instead of the previous $250 and even better, if you refer 5+ people that join AIDA, you will get $750 PER REFERRAL!” ) I would post the screenshot here too if I could) It was advertised after I joined in 2021 as an opportunity to make your money back on your course fee. Some people made thousands of dollars. Removing me from a group I paid to belong to is a breach of contract and if someone asks again I will continue to share it. I am only giving people the full picture to make up their own minds before they spend $6,000 + now on this program. However, It is unethical to not disclose that you are being paid for an endorsement. It is a common marketing practice-ONLY when disclosed. No one’s personal information was shared from the group and nothing confidential was made public-besides a shady practice that I wish I knew about before someone made money off me. The response from Learning Strategy and Design further demonstrates how they are trying to cover up this practice by silencing me so I cannot share anymore shady practices.
As for my review of the program- save your money especially if you have a Master’s work in ID. I joined for connections, paid work and an opportunity to have an experienced ID (Jill) help me with my portfolio. None of these happened as advertised. Both the credly credentials were advertised as finished and they were not. Jill cut her coaching sessions back and hired other “newbies” to run thes and review our portfolio work. She was not accessible like she had advertised and the work she offered me was Upwork and some haphazard project that never took off. I actually had better opportunites to work before I started. I hope it is better now! Lastly. as stated on Trust Pilot, directly from Learning Strategy and Design, "Both current members and alumni have lifetime access to the improvements made in our core program, so everyone benefits!" Yet, I was also penalized for speaking my mind and lost access to the curriculum and content I paid to have permanent access to. This is breach of contract as no violation was made here.
If you are new to the field of ID, please follow Cara North (Unfitlered ID) and watch the Youtube video she created about academies before you buy, entitled, "Don't pay for an ID Academy before you watch this: Questions to ask before enrolling in an ID Academy"
Also, be leery of the amount of people jumping on here saying how fabulous it is. Remember, they get $500 for bringing you in!
Good Luck and may you make the best informed decision for yourself. I wish someone had been honest with me.

We have a referral program where our members refer their friends, family, and colleagues. This is a common marketing practice used by most companies. Referrals keep us accountable to provide the best possible service to our members, because if anyone is dissatisfied with our services, they won’t share. We are very transparent about how we market.
Recently, Amy took screenshots of messages inside our private Facebook group and shared them publicly. This violates our group rules, as sensitive information is often shared in these groups. Other members flagged the posts and shared how uncomfortable it made them as they were worried about the confidentiality of their own posts. As a result of the violation of group rules, Amy was removed from our Alumni Facebook group.
