We never called these folks to fix the garage, especially since we just started renting the house. I noticed the charge on my credit card this morning and tried to find out what it was for; one part of the company, Precision, said they did not do it, and the other, Chamberlain LiftMaster, kept hanging up on me and would not answer my questions regarding the charge. They charged us for no work, and their customer service leaves much to be desired. Every time I called them back, they hung up on me, and then Precision called to tell me they had nothing to do with it. We will see what the bank or the credit card company has to say. Furthermore, I am reporting them to the state of Florida; you do not do this, especially to people you have charged.

The product was sold as a 15 year lasting product and lasted less than 3 years. It cost the same price to buy a new system elsewhere as it does to fix theirs

Lift master gates are unreliable lift master will not even talk to the homeowner. My gate panel has blown 5 times. The first time they said it was not grounded properly. They installed the ground and now every time it storms the panel blows. The panel cost more to repair than the other brand’s entire system. I am going back to a mighty mule which is only 600 and I had one prior and it lasted 7 years without any issues. Shame on lift master gates

Have a 2 year old Liftmaster 84504R garage door opener. One of the two lights stopped working. Only one year warranty on the light. You have to replace the whole module for over $200.00 (just the part) which is about 25 % of the cost of the whole opener. Ridiculous that it went so soon and the price of the replacement. The online instruction shows excessive disassembly needed to replace the light module. Tried calling service and put on hold. Chose the option for a call back but no call after an hour. Had I known all these complaints on this company I would have not replaced my 40 year old Sears opener that was still working. Very disappointed with Liftmaster.

After spending $2000 buying a LiftMaster LA 400 gate I called for technical support and was told that they will not offer any phone support on their products. Never again will I do business with this company

The only way to change the keypad code was to wipe all devices from the opener, then readd from the MyQ app. The app didn't run under Android 15. My wife's iphone ran it and eventually added everything but the switch in the garage. It had a camera in it. To complete the install, you have to take a video and then select the video from the app's history. The problem is, the app can't detect the videos in the history folder. They are there, you can see them from the app, but not from the window of the 'add switch' dialog box. You can't add it until this step is complete (they hired kindergarden teachers to program this). The AI assistant can't help and if you call the help line and say you need help with the app, you are disconnected. It looks like I will have to throw this video switch away and buy a simpler one that maybe the app can handle.

Failed within 1 year (127 cycles) It fails to lift a door that a 41 year old "Genie" model handled just fine. Product has locked me out of the garage 3 times by failing to open. I am putting the old opener back in to replace this worthless box of misery. Yes, I'd rather trust a 41 year old opener than this! That should say it all.

I wanted to like this product, but my experience left me with very little confidence in both the product and the support. The 821LMC hub supplied with my home never successfully completed setup. Before contacting support, I spent considerable time troubleshooting. I factory reset the hub multiple times, verified my 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, tested with multiple devices, and confirmed the hub’s local setup interface was functioning. Despite all of that, it never completed Wi-Fi provisioning. What disappointed me most was the support experience. I contacted Chamberlain to find out whether there was a firmware recovery procedure or another advanced diagnostic option before purchasing a replacement. Instead, I was repeatedly directed through the same basic troubleshooting steps I had already completed. When I called technical support, I had difficulty communicating with the representatives and was never able to get an answer to my original question. I wasn’t calling to demand a free replacement. I simply wanted to know whether the device could be recovered and whether I should have confidence in buying another LiftMaster product. Unfortunately, I left the experience without that confidence. I hope Chamberlain improves both its escalation process for advanced technical issues and the quality of its customer support.
