In the past 8 months: Had to make a warranty claim within 2 weeks of buying a Mr. Coffee maker. The replacement died in less than 3 months. Ditched that model for a smaller 5 cup model that lasted less than 4 months.
First one made all kinds of clicking noises that could be heard clear across the house. Second one, power button became "iffy" (maybe it would work/maybe not) and the hot plate started to get too hot. The 5 cup eventually had an extremely slow 15 brew process even after several cleanings. Nothing major ever came out from these cleanings and we used filtered water.
It became the little engine that couldn't.
Today I just gave up and bought an off brand machine.

I received a Mr Coffee pot with carafe…
I received a Mr Coffee pot with carafe as a Christmas gift 12/25. It failed by 8/26 under warranty.their warranty form and the required supporting in is so complex with uploads it is not worth the effort. the company has made it so difficult that they will never have to honor the warranty. It was through Amazon so no bill of sale. Hand written order number and date not acceptable. They want a screen shot from my sons computer to verify. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY considering lack of quality control of a Chinese product

Defective Products, Sends Broken Replacements
I bought x2 of a Mr. Coffee coffee pot that have both broken in the same way. The first one I let go and this second one I submitted a warranty claim for.
I jumped through all of the warranty claim hoops, they approved it, and sent me out a new coffee pot. (Case Number: 52076015.) Sadly, the new one arrived broken. The base is completely smashed. (The box is pristine though, so I absolutely don't believe that it was broken during shipping despite them trying to blame Fedex.)
I tried to call. Couldn't reach anyone. Submitted a new warranty claim for the smashed one (Case: 52134290), and they said that I have to re-package it, drive it to FedEx, and they have to inspect it to send me out a new one! I send them photos of the damage. That's not enough. I say, you can pick it up from my house, but I'm not driving the broken replacement somewhere. They say, okay, but you have to call and get the pickup set up with Fedex and need to be home to facilitate the pickup. I ask to speak to a manager to get this sorted out, because it's unreasonable to expect me to do all this because of an issue on their end. They won't transfer you to a manager, because they claim to have no way to do so. They just keep repeating that I have to jump through a million hoops to get their damaged replacement back to them, after I already waited for them to fix my issue with the defective one they originally sold me. I'm tired of being without coffee because of their defective products. Utterly ridiculous. Will NEVER buy from Mr. Coffee again.

Don't buy Mr. Coffee 5 Cup Coffeemaker
Mr. Coffee 5 Cup Coffeemaker lasted 1 yr 4 months. No wonder the warranty is only 1 year. Very disappointed. This is all plastic, and cheap. It just wouldn't turn on anymore - I paid $35CAD but I still expected a quality product. I read that the expected life is 2 to 5 years. It couldn't even make it to the company's expectations.

Mr. Coffee automatic 12 cup
Mr. Coffee 12 cup, automatic timer, brew later maker is junk. This coffee maker stops working after 6 months, received new maker under warranty, this maker made 2.5 years. The brew later setting no longer communicates and does not work. Sent email inquiry to Mr. Coffee customer service and the recommendation was to purchase another Mr. Coffee maker. Another Mr. Coffee machine in the land fill. No thanks, will purchase a better brand.

Terrible product, ZERO customer service and NON-existing warranty
I bought a coffee maker on Amazon.ca. The product failed after the amazon return window closed. As per the instructions on amazon I followed the link to start a warranty claim. The link for warranty claim on Mr. Coffee Canada site takes you to a form where the Country is defaulted to USA. There is no option to change it to Canada. I still filled the form with my Canadian address since that was the only option given. That was February 26, 2026. I get an email saying I’ll be getting a replacement. Sounds great, right? WRONG!
March 03, 2026 I receive an order cancellation email instead. I replied to Mr. Coffee all confused, and oh luck A person named Melpha replied me back on April 29, 2026 assuring that they will be shipping me a replacement for the second time. But instead I received another cancellation email!! When I inquire about the circus, this Melpha person tells me that I will need to ship them the faulty unit for a refund. So, 2 months after the initial email confirming that I am getting a replacement from Mr. Coffee. I hear for the first time that “opps, we didn’t realize you’re in the wrong country.” And “double oops! Because this item is out of stock” and “say goodbye to your money unless you send us our garbage product back.” When I try to explain why I am hearing this 2 months after the claim was make, Meloha blames me for my horrible crime that I didn’t know that they are incompetent and trusted their email that they are shipping me a replacement and toss the piece of junk in the garbage. Like WOW!
Please save your money and buy something else.
