Ease of use, prompt payment

My recent claim was processed and approved in 16 minutes. Appreciate the fast response time and coverage for our 11 year old French Bulldog.

We signed up with Pumpkin for our 4 cats and are extremely happy with our decision. Signing up was easy. We took our cats for their first wellness exam and the claim process was hassle free. Refund came in a day or so after. Couldn’t recommend enough! We’re so happy being part of the Pumpkin family; and so are our four cats - Olly, Snowy, Smokey, and Suki.

Pumpkin has a very user friendly website. Once I submitted my claim, my reimbursement came within days. The staff is also very helpful. This makes it a great company to me. I will recommend Pumpkin Pet Insurance to all my friends.

I just joined Pumpkin last December 2025, I have a male shorthair tiger cat that is 5 years old. I had purchased 7K coverage a year with a 250 deductible and no wellness option. I paid 44dollars a month for this, I thought would at least minimize the big bills at emergency vet. No VET OR EMERGENCY BILLS OCCURRED AT ALL. Nothing, no charges to Pumpkin PET at all in 2025 or 2026. I just received renewal numbers and its a 50 PERCENT INCREASE FROM 2025. 64$ a month now for same policy. I really feel like they low balled me to get me to sign up and now at first renewal the increase is HUGE. I dont know of any bills that go up 50 percent in one year, let alone no claims. PS> Pumpkin said they dont increase based on claims anyway. So incredible disappointed with the rate increase. Also in this year I have seen how its almost impossible to get an agent on the phone and with email it could be several days before you hear back. I dont know how I could live with that in an emergency, I need to know whats going to be covered to make decisions on care promptly, I seriously doubt Pumpkin can make that happen. There were bigger companies with good ratings when I was deciding what company to go with, I thought I would go with the lessor known Pumpkin and give the smaller company a shot, hoping that would pay off in excellent customer service. They are helpful when you get someone its just extremely difficult to get to a person. Time to start shopping again, really sad about this.
