Overall Rav's been good to deal with. Over the past 7 years I've bought 8 drums. They all arrive promptly and as described and I'd had no show stopping issues. I would say most of my drums are about a 9.5 to 10/10. Some of them have slight harmonics issues if struck wrong on certain notes. Part of this can be skill as I learn them for sure - but just want to be transparent. Their most recent drum, Anima, was delayed due to a bunch of factors and I wish they'd been a little more communicative about those delays rather than my having to ask first (I did get answers every time though!). Overall I still recommend them highly. They're great drums. The pricing (like everything in the world) has indeed gone up. They do have sales, but the accessories especially are quite pricey - but do what they say on the tin.

I have played the hand pan for a while now, and have been wanting to purchase a Rav Vast to experience a different type of sound and tonality compared to what I am used to experiencing while playing the hand pan. I am really enjoying the sound and the prolonged resonation of the Rav Vast Astronaut. You can feel the vibrations echo throughout your body and in the room. It definitely speaks to me and I play it every day! This drum is a gift to the world, and it brings me much joy and peace to play it for myself and others.

Ordered my Anima in early November for delivery to the UK. There were a few initial hiccups choosing the best order location, but after some helpful communication with Rav this was resolved. The long quiet spell over the Christmas period was a bit worrying given the price, but these are hand‑made instruments and, in the new year, communication resumed and the Anima arrived safely after some postal delays. Kate at Rav was excellent in chasing everything up. The Anima itself is a delight — and a real time thief. It’s mesmerising and deeply enjoyable to play; hours pass like minutes. Build quality is excellent, and the sound is rich, enveloping, and very well controlled. Clear single tones, overtones and chords, all well controlled plus beautiful, subtle blooms that respond to your playing, without any muddy or unintended noise. In short: it’s a wonderful instrument and, although the wait felt long, it was absolutely worth it. No regrets at all.

Rav makes the best drums and there really is no comparison. They are rich and beautiful. With anything of this kind of quality, there is a wait to get the drum but it's well worth it. I have purchased several Rav Vast drums and just got their newest Anima and I love playing and hearing its incredible tones. I trust Rav as they always deliver. They are working hard in dealing with difficult and fluid situations dealing with trade but they have been clear in the communications and kept me apprised of when to expect my new drum. It was well worth the wait.

The RAV Anima is an incredible and unique instrument. I have two other RAVS and a number of handpans and this may well be my favorite. The timbre of the chordal tone fields and the Celtic scale produces a sound that I can only describe as sacred and plaintive. What a joy!
