I teach students who struggle with reading. I have had students who can't seem to get it no matter how hard I try to help them. Reading Horizon is an amazing tool to use. It really takes the basics and builds upon them to help students learn how to read and transfer skills. Even as an adult, I am learning now ways to look at words! It is amazing!

Reading Horizons is an excellent program. I have seen amazing growth from the time they entered second grade to present in my students decoding, and reading and phonics skills. This is a direct instruction program where everything is well explained for the teacher. Students may go online and complete lessons such as reading high frequency words and read books from the library. There is an assessement for students to take too.

I have used Reading Horizons for the past 7 years. I loved that it was an explicit, systematic, sequential method. Reading Horizons aligns with The Science of Reading. This method helped me feel confident that what I was teaching was aligned with research. My students were actively engaged in the lessons and they were mastering phonics. My reading scores improved. The best part has been seeing students feel empowered to decode unknown words.
