SelfDecodeReviews of selfdecode.com

Self Decode provides current and reliable Genetic info that is easy to understand. Each article or Wellness report offers additional info based off your genes and /or lifestyle. Suggestions for changes and/or supplements are also provided. Great detailed info!

It was a birthday gift and I love it!

I had a issue with my DNA sequence from another company not uploading. I had the pleasure of Sarah helping me throughout the process to see what was wrong with my sequence and how it could be fixed. It ended up being an easy fix, where my sequence got sent to their sequence masters who combined my raw data, to create the sequence that would work for their site. The whole process took a few days and Sarah was there every step of the way updating me and answering all questions. I truly have not received costumer care like this before, and it was so refreshing to see. Thank you Sarah and selfdecode for all the effort you put into you company and costumer care! Jessica

Not only is their service insanely interesting, it actually helped me uncover underlying conditions to my symptoms. Also, it will spark your interest in genetics and biochemistry! Would recommend to everyone willing to make a change in his life.

Wow!!! I finally found a service that enables me to monitor my own health. I have never seen a test so accurate to break down my DNA to find what I need to change in my life to have optimum health. This is the best gift you could offer a loved one!! You have the ability to monitor your own health!! Thank you Selfcode for being available for my health needs when so many doctors have failed to supply this information to me when requested.

The level of detail in the Wellness Reports is incredible. I would really like to see more of them. Also because many of the SNP's are so well documented (aside from the wellness reports) it is possible to delve into specific genes and make sure I am doing all the right things to improve or keep myself healthy.

Thank you SelfDecode for even trying to fix my daughter's incompatible Nebula / Sequencing WGS vcf file. I have tried to get help from these 2 other companies that did the WGS test but no luck. I had exactly the same problem with their "Ultimate" test sampled by LivingDNA, even though I had ordered with Sequencing, when it wouldn't upload even to Nebula. SelfDecode is absolutely the best beyond doubt.

For context of my commentary, I have used Nebula, Strategene and Self Decode’s products for my family. My opinion is as follows: 1. If the goal is prioritized ideas (to discuss with your doctor) for specific health conditions that are backed by rated research, this site is great. If understanding the underlying mechanisms is desired, requesting the legacy site is pretty helpful, but as a critique, I ended up doing a lot of Googling and YouTube to determine how to look at SNPs and where to direct my efforts from a whole body perspective. 2. I did WGS through Nebula whose tools were very unhelpful. Running the Nebula data through SelfDecode brought the data to life and ensured better sequencing accuracy which is the only area that I valued Nebula over SelfDecode. 3. Strategene looks at only the CURRENT clinically significant SNPs which means as research progresses, more testing will likely be needed. It’s nice because it gets rid of a lot of the unknown “static”, but SelfDecode casts a wider net on SNP screening which offers expansion as new gene studies come out. I did like that Strategene included flowcharts that detailed the biochemical pathways and the SNP impact % to gene speeds which SelfDecode does not currently include. This allowed me to see where the enzyme bottle necks were. That said, the site left me confused. The company also has limited suggestions for optimizing health which SelfDecode specializes. It is important to note that good regular exercise and sleep are probably the most effective health promoters and it is rare that a supplement will fix everything without trial and error with the help of a doctor. 4. Bottom line - SelfDecode is a site that is constantly updating and modifying it’s algorithms based on the newest published research available. Given that many SNP’s currently have limited research with new studies are pending and the fact that this site designed to be updated on the fly, user data can be re-interpreted based on the most recent study consensus. While I would like to see more commentary on where to focus my efforts from a whole body perspective and also more “dumbed down” biochemistry explanations, I think this site covers the bases for those looking for streamlined recommendations.
