I order from SG on a somewhat regular…
I order from SG on a somewhat regular basis. Never had an issue. Delivery is reasonably quick and the prices are as good as can be expected these days. Also, they never seem to be out of stock like most online ammo vendors. I tell others to order from them every time the issue comes up.

Buying Ammo
I buy exclusively from SGA and never had a problem of any kind!! I live in Illinois and buying ammo of any type is a process!! They keep my paperwork on file and I have zero problems plus they ship UPS and that is a five star company, too!

SG Ammo can't repair their shipping problems abusive to customers
In the past month I have placed five orders with this company. I payed for signature requirement all orders except the last order. SG ammo canceled the last two orders out of retaliation. Of the three orders that they made only one got signed for. One order ended up missing for days. I found it in the brush on a neighboring property. The last order showed up with out signature. After calling UPS and explaining the problem to the local UPS manager they determined it to be a driver training problem. Instead of correcting the problems SG ammo takes it out on its customers.

This person did buy from us, and claimed to not receive 2 separate orders within a few weeks. UPS GPS trace showed both deliveries were pinpointed at his house out in the country. His communications were not good, in fact he never even confirmed that he found the packages until he wrote this review. He acted irate / unstable in the process, and was very difficult to work with us as we tried to get him to look for the packages. For that reason we will not ship to him any more. Its just not worth dealing with the people that play games about not getting their order. Basically, because UPS did not make him sign for the orders, he claimed he did not get them, but he did, and now admits it in this very review.

Over a decade of OUTSTANDING service. Highly recommended.
Over the last ~decade, I've had dozens of transactions w/ SGAMMO; approx. 2/3rd of them for larger quantities (>10k/rds per caliber, multiple calibers), & the remaining 1/3rd for small transactions - as little as a few magazines & less than a case of ammo.
Regardless of the amount of money I've spent, Sam Gabbert (the owner, & company namesake, ie; "SG Ammo") has been one of the very few ammunition distributors who's willing to continue selling to the little guy as a 'retailer' w/ no minimum order requirement. This is a HUGE advantage for those of us in the competition scene who, for myriad reasons currently do not find economical advantage in reloading for ourselves - commonly due to time constraints or diminishing returns (or, God forbid, deficits therein) in the historically dollar-saving (not to mention, quite rewarding & offering a high degree of granularity in precision tayloring of desired ballistics, and satisfaction in remaining as self-sufficient as one can in our Belo
ved United States of America, circa 2024) practice of re/hand-loading ammunition.
Sam has always replied to my many questions w/ patience & professionalism that I wish I vould experience across every sector of business in modern American life.
On the very off chance that an order is incomplete/incorrect, SG AMMO will correct it & make it right. In dozens & dozens of orders fulfilled for me, there has only ever been a single error, which can only be atttibuted to me attempting to edit an order after the fact, and Sam still took care of me like one takes care of a close family member.
If you're a medium-to-high volume shooter, a range that sells ammunition to patrons/members/clients, or even a local retailer, SG AMMO will square you away, and they'll do so fairly.
It's my sincerest hope that I'll have the privelege of many more years to come of business dealings w/ Sam Gabbert aka, SG AMMO INC. One simply cannot hope to find a better partner as an ammunition supplier.

I bought 100rds of.303 ammo
I bought 100rds of.303 ammo. I asked for a signature to receive it. The company told me I did not select this option. They showed it delivered at the end of my driveway, it was not there after contacting ups they said that thieve target suburbs not country settings . Ok ever heard of crackheads. Anyways sga reached out to there ups rep to show it was actually delivered down the road and asked me to go check..(kidding me) I did and it was not there. Then they let me know they might be able to do a partial refund. Crazy

The customer declined 'signature confirmation' when the placed the order, he did not ask for that service or pay for it. To say otherwise is false, He selected "No, I do not want to require a signature upon delivery and I am okay with UPS leaving my package at my doorstep.". Also, he intentionally declined to insure the package, changing the default setting to insure the package to full value, changing it to decline insurance, checking the check box marked "No, I do not want to buy optional shipping insurance and I understand that if my package is lost in transit, I will only receive a maximum claim of $100". Therefor the package was not insured. You cannot make that choice, skip the payment to ensure the package, then reasonably demand full insurance coverage when UPS looses the package. We do not force customers to purchase insurance, but do expect them to live up to the agreement they made when they placed the order.
