I contacted Shredding Pros this a.m. via email and they got right back to me telling me I would be contacted by 4 sources shortly. As of noon today, I have heard from one source, which gives me no options to compare prices, service, etc.

When I requested a quote online, I was impressed by the quick and courteous reply (both by email and phone) from Shred Nations. However, after 3 days, I never heard from the local contractor, File Thirteen.

Site states get quote free, but all that it did was send an email stating that RECALL was a company that could service our area. Then I again requested a quote. Am still waiting for response.

I was under the impression that the company that came to do the shredding was to shred on site. Maybe I was mistaken. I was out of town, and I asked our front desk employee to watch a particular box being shred. When I came back in town, she let me know that they took all the boxes away to be shredded.

Dear Lauren - Thank you for your feedback on your shredding purge. The majority of the time, Mobile On-Site service is used for these smaller projects. However many of our local providers may offer off-site shredding as an alternative to help accommodate scheduling conflicts or for better pricing options to you, the client. We at Shred Nations want to assure you that either option is just as secure as all our local providers subscribe to all local, State and Federal laws regarding document destruction. If you need a Certificate of Destruction for your records, I am sure the local provider would love to provide you with that documentation. If you have any other questions on this, please do not hesitate to contact me directly. Thank you again for letting us answer your question. If you feel this information satisfies your query, please note that you can re-visit your star review to reflect this update. Thank you. While Shred Nations responded immediately, I have not heard from any shredding vendors since putting in a request for quote.

Dear Richard, It appears we were able to find two (2) local shredding providers in your area who can answer any questions you have and offer competitive quotes for your shredding project. They should be in contact shortly. Keep in mind that if this process goes well and to your liking, you can revisit your star rating to reflect the overall service once completed. We value your feedback. Let me know if you require anything or have any questions. Sincerely, Erik Larsen Shred Nations Customer Care 800-747-3365 x214

I tried to call a "local" number. It was immediately obvious that it was not local. The person who answered did so quickly and politely. Unfortunately the "local" business is located 120 miles away round trip. Not a business I will use.
