Too many shill and fake deals
Too many shill and fake deals. And too many price hikes but “coupon” given to lower the price to its normal price. Huge change in the feel of SD over the past 18-24 months. Now so many fake deals

you are letting the community post a lot of "NOT SLICK" deals - Subscribe and save scams, 10% off, mediocre deals - you hardly ever see 50% and more off, or a lot of deals from Amazon, eBay, and other mainstream retailers offering you associate fees.

I really wanted to like Slick Deals because the concept is great, but my experience has been frustrating. Too many ads lead to deals that are misleading, expired, or simply don't match what was advertised. It takes far too much time to separate legitimate bargains from what feels like clickbait. I understand that not every deal can be perfect, but I wish there was better quality control and more accurate listings. Until that improves, it's hard for me to recommend the site.

Most deals the prices aren't the same once you click on them.

Hi Alan. Could you give us a little more info about this because that's definitely not what we want our users to experience. Were the deals a higher price, the coupon code won't work, etc? Are these mostly amazon deals? (Prices show up differently sometimes depending which warehouse it's being sent from). Did you come across these deals on the Front Page, newsletter, deal alert, browsing hot deals, all of the above? The more info we have the better so we can dig into this. Thank you!

Way too many sponsored or deceptive "deals". Far more than they used to have. Slickdeals used to combat these practices, but due to so many affiliate links and such, they have fully embraced it. It used to be a site you could recommend, but now you can't for fear of accidentally getting less trained eyes falling for sponsored junk.

SlickDeals used to be my go-to site for sales, coupons, and deals in general. I do still browse on occasion to see if I missed any good sales on my own, but it's rare and I never sign in to any of my accounts. Mostly because I can't sign in to any of them. They've all been blocked without notice or reason. I used to try to post deals I found, but they were always denied or deleted by their staff. One mod told me a coupon for 30% off an entire order is NOT a slick deal and that's why my forum post was denied. Meanwhile, they post 10% off coupons with their affiliate links. I now go out of my way to never click a link on their site.

This site used to be good, where people can share deals freely. Now the site is censoring posts and sending out warnings to benefit its own agenda and corporate greed. There are so many better products out there but many are banned. It's not worth posting anything on here anymore. Very sad to see.

Hi StarBuccaneers, Sorry that you feel this way. We do have some rules about posting very low rated 3rd party Amazon threads and also rules about posting competing sites which is how most businesses work. We do encourage sharing suggestions and concerns in our forum here https://slickdeals.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=5 If you have suggestions on how we might serve the community better we'd like to hear/read that :)

I have signed up in 2005, Now L9. Finally have leave it's discussion because this site has turned into a paid site. Chinese sellers are spamming there day/night. Leave it and save time&money.

Hi HenryFoard, We don't allow merchants to pay to have deals posted. That said, we do look at deals merchants send to us and if they are deals we think members would really like we will post them. We also turn down lots and lots of deals as well as giving them (merchants) advice on how they can make the deal better so that it might be worthy of getting posted on Slickdeals.
