Spry ServersReviews of spryservers.net

Loving using this service. And really considering to use them more! 10GB free NextCloud space! Some pro-tips: (1) Account takes a bit of time to set up... 24-48 hours (?) Guessing that is because of validation procedures. Spry is big on fraud detection and validating who you are. (2) Avoid using pseudonyms or email accounts with funny names. Avoid doing anything funny that could cause Spry to reject your free account application

Great colo provider. Helpful and responsive staff and remote hands. Great network speeds

The sign was sorta longer than usual. I had to sign up and then wait for approval. But it didn't take very long, maybe twenty minutes or so and I got an email about the approval. Once I logged in, everything was working perfect and just right. Considering that I was using the free account, this is top notch service.

Provisioning of NextCloud took several days Question to support regarding OnlyOffice hasn't been answered yet Update: My OnlyOffice question has been answered later. Overall, I would recommend Spry Servers.

Nice alternative to Google or Microsoft spy worlds.

Spry Service is one of the best hosts there is and I have tried a few but they have more undesirable properties so I have mostly a great deal of praise for Spry. I would rate the company as high as it gets but I must call it 4 stars instead of five because it uses Plesk instead of providing all of that itself. Plesk is fabulous and I also praise that company very highly but the one thing that bothers me most about them is denial of access to all of the files on the website. Using the tool to create a website is alright but it can be frustrating at times and it keeps all of the files in a place secure to itself because changing files in their secret storage is permission denied. So the only real complaint I have about Spry is that it uses Plesk.

Back in the day, I used their services for a while. I admit I used only the free version of NextCloud for a year just to figure out if this will be my provider. Then I recommended them to friends and family for testing. Turns out they wiped out every personal data on their servers because of an attack or crash. (They did this twice in a year). One day you just log in, and everything was empty. I don't really remember the reason, but since the first time that happened, I just moved to another company. I remember Spryservers server response time was slow, and sometimes couldn't even log in or sync with the Cloud for a week. It felt like they've been under DDoS occasionally. Keep in mind my feedback is just regarding the free plan for NextCloud. I'm giving them two stars because I see they still have the free option available, but it's not an option to rely on. Your time costs more. A simple encrypted backup server would do great. Also, their version of NextCloud was much older than the last release, therefore, incompatible with most apps. I'd love to give you more stars. I swear I want... Hope you upped your game!

I've been trying the Nextcloud hosting for free and so far, everything has been great. They have integrations with Google and OneDrive which makes it real easy to import your data from other cloud services. I have been hosting my own Nextcloud server but, for the amount of work that it is I'm seriously considering just switching to a fully-managed hosting service instead. The prices are cheap and they manage all the hardware and software for you. I just want to get away from Google and Nextcloud hosting on Spry Servers is looking like the solution for me.
