Sunpower makes great panels, but they are not worth the hassle if you have an issue. Their customer service is abysmal. I signed the contract in Aug of 2019 and was told it would take 3 months to turn the system on, but it took 6 months. Ok, I got over that. But two years later, my system stopped producing completely, and they can't seem to get their act together to send someone out to take a look, I have an open case but they initially told me to contact my installer. The installer said they need to be contracted by Sunpower to provide service. "are completing a review". What has to be reviewed - you have confirmed the system is not producing power. You said you offer a 25-year end-to-end warranty - why delay things? This is costing me, money people. Every day this is down is lost revenue for me. But Sunpower can't be bothered. So if your considering sunpower - don't. Go with a local installer with a good service record.

I have had my SunPower solar panels for several years now and they have worked well. I am on the lease program so they are supposed to maintain them. I clean them myself a few times a year. A few months ago they stopped working. Zero percent performance. No energy at all. I put in a work order and after several weeks was told that it was put out to a local electric vendor to get it fixed. That was over a month ago and I've never been contacted by anyone. I've been without solar for about 3 months now, during summer peak production time, with no service and no one to talk to. If I call customer service I get a recording saying that the wait time is "x" number of minutes. That number continues to rise the longer you wait because they want to work with you through email. That way there is no back and forth. I did an email today and got a noncommittal response. When I immediately tried to respond I received an automatic response saying that particular case was closed and that I should do a new email. All in all, SunPower customer service is about the worst customer service I've ever tried to work with. I am so frustrated.

I paid 29 panels of the SunPower solar with the installation for almost $46k. The installation was done about almost 5 months ago and so far I am happy with it. The only problem I have is that my sale rep didn’t want to give me the rebate code to claim my $1k rebate even I emailed, called and left him so many messages. When he presented the SunPower product to me, he said I would receive my rebate 6 weeks after the installation is finished. I called SunPower customer services and was told that If I don’t have the rebate code from my sale rep, they cannot do anything to help me. I sent a certified mail to SunPower headquarters in San Jose to explain to them my problem. They received it but they didn’t get back to me either. Please advise me what I should do now?

From day one with my meeting with Matt from Sunmade I was very impressed. I have met with several solar companies and never felt as secure with Matt. he was clear and easy to understand. He showed me where my saving would be. I signed up right there. He underpromised and way over performed. The office staff and installers were all professional.

I don't know what I am reviewing? My 11 panels are giving me plenty great electricity and I am happy with SunPower. No issues, and none with my rep/installer Peter Kim of Bella Hem.

Your company sucks!! Not only did they destroy our home when they put in the panels but the system never works and then we're stuck with electric bills

Your representative Maya Morrison very attentive to our needs for the system and actually made us feel comfortable . She actually made us feel her genuine concern that we got the right system for us. I would highly recommend Sunpower with employees like Maya to assist you even after your purchase when a lot would forget about you.

The install was very professional, but the installers left behind scraps of conduant pipes and wire around the property. It's still to early to tell how the system is performing. I never was able to meet sales person in person. Was kinda awkward.
