I had a very frustrating experience with Support Pet. I submitted an ESA letter obtained through their service to my leasing office, expecting it to meet the basic requirements they advertise. Unfortunately, my leasing office rejected the letter with the following reason: “The documentation provided does not demonstrate that the healthcare professional has sufficient personal knowledge of your disability‑related limitations to reliably verify a disability or a disability‑related need for an assistance animal.”

We’re sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating housing verification situations can be. The ESA documentation provided through our service is issued following a clinical review process and prepared in accordance with applicable federal housing guidelines. These documents are successfully used by thousands of customers across the country for housing accommodations and related requests. That said, some housing providers and third-party screening companies may apply their own internal review standards or request additional verification beyond the original documentation provided. Unfortunately, these policies can vary from property to property and are not always within our control. Our service is legitimate, and our team regularly assists customers with follow-up documentation, verification requests, and additional housing forms when needed. We’re always happy to help clarify concerns directly with customers and support them throughout the process. Count on us
