A little confusing doing the sign up. Also, waiting for materials is disappointing.

This company did well with the documents that were sent within a 24 hr period. However, the items being a vest and ID were on back order and still waiting since 4/2022. When I called Customer Service they told me they issued a refund of 67.00 which is what the two items cost. This was a lie. Called again and another rep told me they will issue the refund. Another lie. 3 months later I called to speak to a supervisor which never came to the phone and I received an email from a supervisor named Remy the next day stating that there are no refunds and that I had received the items. This is also a lie. Not only did he lie he did not tell me that he expedited the items with a different carrier which I'm sure he did on Friday since he did not include the tracking number in his email to show me when I supposedly received the items. I've received several emails from the USPS showing me a tracking number for the items and states they have not even picked the items up from shipper. It wasn't until I spoke to a rep on the phone on 4/25/2022 that I was informed that she will escalate the call to corporate level and that she was unable to track the package and that DHL is the carrier. This tells me that Remy the supervisor lied and that the previous reps lied. I'm sure if the corporate level hires incompetent employees they are probably no better. We will see. I'm out 67.00 Update: after many emails and phone calls a Mr Caique Garcia contacted me and was very polite and also had my refund issued. My hats off to Mr Caique Garcia, I just wish there was peace of mind to deal with Support Pets again. I am just not there yet.

This is not a review, more of a question. I have read that this is a scam, and the doctors are not real. I apologize for putting this in the comments, and I will remove immediately. How do I check/ensure this is legitimate and is as legitimate/legal as all ESA companies? Are there regulations/codes/govern bodies in place that has guidelines? Help please, with reassurance whether the several reviews saying ‘beware’ are just ridiculous customers, and I’m ready.

Hi Cathrine! We see you posted a review but have not purchased our product. We ensure you that our company is 100% legal and ESAs are protected by federal law. At Support Pets, we only use real licensed doctors to review your ESA request. Your Approved ESA documentation will contain the license number of the doctor who reviewed and approved your request. An emotional support animal ( also referred to as an ESA), is a designated companion animal that provides comfort and support to a person dealing with an emotional, mental, or psychological disability. An ESA letter is official documentation that “prescribes” an emotional support animal to an individual. The letter states that the person has a need for an emotional support animal and is allowed an ESA as a result. Note that the ESA letter applies to you as the patient, rather than a specific animal. There is a wide range of mental and emotional conditions that may qualify you for an emotional support animal. A licensed mental health professional will need to provide an evaluation in order for you to pursue an ESA. Beware of sites that do not offer legitimate ESA services or do not use licensed doctors to approve your ESA request. I hope this helps Catherine.
