Disappointing Quality and Customer Support
I've been using Tefal cookware for several years, primarily pots, pans, and cookware sets designed for induction hobs. Unfortunately, my experience with the latest products has been extremely disappointing. After just a 1.5 years of use, the bottom layers of several of my induction-compatible pots and pans started coming off. These are the components that allow the cookware to work on an induction hob. In one case, the bottom actually detached during cooking, which was both surprising and concerning. I contacted Tefal's customer support some time ago, hoping to find a reasonable solution. Instead, I was faced with a series of questions and explanations suggesting that my AEG induction hob might not be compatible, that I might be washing the cookware incorrectly, that I shouldn't use the highest power settings, or that the cookware shouldn't be washed in a dishwasher. I found this approach rather strange and disappointing. The cookware was purchased for everyday use, and I expect it to withstand normal cooking conditions. What's even more concerning is that the affected products came from different Tefal cookware sets. This doesn't appear to be an isolated issue with a single batch. Unfortunately, I've decided to stop buying Tefal cookware and cannot recommend the brand to others based on my experience. I believe that cookware sold at a premium price should offer significantly better durability and quality.
