Possibly the best customer service I’ve experienced. Definitely the most proactive with replies and enquiries regarding delivery and satisfaction of the product.
Their attitude alone secured the purchase, and the product didn’t disappoint. Champagne.

Stephen, this truly means a lot. Thank you!
We believe great service should come before, during, and after the sale, so knowing that stood out to you makes us proud.
And I'm even happier that the product lived up to it. "Champagne" is about as good as it gets 🥂
Really appreciate your support, wishing you many smooth rolls ahead! ⛳

Chiputt Tour-Grade Putting Mat (3x8 + 3x3 Chipping Mat)
I bought the Chiputt putting mat for my rooftop terrace so I could consistently work on my short game without needing to get to the course... and it’s honestly been one of the better golf purchases I’ve made.
What initially sold me was the inclusion of the chipping mat. Most putting mats are just that...putting only...but this setup actually lets you practice both putting and chipping in one system, which makes it way more useful day-to-day. The versatility is a big differentiator, and it’s clearly designed as a full short-game training tool rather than a gimmick.
The quality is legit. The turf rolls true and feels consistent, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to dial in pace and confidence. From what I’ve experienced (and what others seem to say), it replicates a realistic green speed, so your practice actually translates when you’re on the course.
The chipping mat is probably my favorite part...it adds a completely different dimension to practice. Being able to hit chips and immediately transition into putts makes it feel more like real play rather than isolated drills.
If I had one regret, it’s size. I went with the 3x8 and added the 3x3 mat, which works well for my space, but if you have the room, I’d 100% go bigger. The longer distance would make it even more valuable for lag putting and overall feel.

Thank you Jonathan! Since the Chiputt Mat is waterproof, it's so cool to see you setting it up on the rooftop!
You nailed it, it's designed to be a complete short-game training system, not just a putting strip. The transition from chipping to putting is where practice truly starts to feel like real play, and that's when real improvement happens.
Thanks again for the thoughtful feedback and for making Chiputt part of your daily routine. Wishing you plenty of rooftop birdies ahead! ⛳️

Excellent At-Home Putting and Chipping Practice Setup
I’ve tried a few putting mats over the years, and most of them look good but don’t actually translate well to the course. The Chiputt Tour-Grade Putting Mat is different. The first thing you notice is the roll—it runs at about a 10 Stimp, which is very similar to what you’d see on many public course greens, and that makes a huge difference. You’re not just rolling balls on carpet—you’re actually training your pace and stroke in a way that carries over. It’s consistent end-to-end with no dead spots, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to build confidence on the greens.
What really stood out to me is the interchangeable cup system. You can switch between back-lip cups that reward firmer putts and flatter cups that give you a more traditional drop, and that flexibility lets you tailor your practice depending on what you’re working on. It might seem like a small detail, but it completely changes how you approach each session. On top of that, the built-in 3-foot distance markers are incredibly useful. Whether you’re doing ladder drills or working on lag putting, you always know your distances, which makes your practice more structured and intentional.
It’s also built to be used anywhere. The mat is waterproof, has a solid non-slip rubber backing, and works just as well on hardwood floors as it does outside. It feels durable too—this isn’t something you’re replacing after one season, and it's thick enough to actual place tees into for gate drills. Another cool bonus is that it includes a chipping mat so you can have a full short-game setup at home.
For me, this isn’t a gimmicky putting mat—it’s a legitimate practice tool. The roll is realistic, the feedback is meaningful, and the structure helps you actually improve instead of just mindlessly rolling putts. If you’re serious about reducing three-putts, improving your pace control, and building a more consistent stroke, this is the best at-home setups I’ve used.

Mark, this is such a thoughtful and detailed review. Thank you!
You described exactly what we set out to build: not a gimmicky mat, but a legitimate training tool that actually translates to the course. Hearing that the 10-stimp roll is helping you train real pace and stroke, not just roll balls on carpet, means everything to us!
I'm glad you're getting value from the interchangeable cup system and the 3-foot distance markers. Those details were designed to make practice more intentional and structured, not just repetitive. When practice sessions have purpose, improvement follows.
And thank you for highlighting the durability and versatility. Being able to use it indoors, outdoors, for putting, chipping, and even tee gate drills - that full short-game ecosystem was the vision from day one!
We truly appreciate the time you took to share this. Wishing you fewer three-putts and many confident rolls ahead! ⛳️

A Strong Alternative That Punches Above Its Weight
I grabbed the Chiputt 3’×11’ mat because it fits perfectly in my hallway and drops right into the carpeted space in my basement. And honestly — for the price — this thing delivers.
Unboxing wasn’t flawless: it came with a cloth‑style handle, and right out of the box there were bubbles and curls that needed a few days (plus a stack of books and kids’ toys) to settle. Jason’s email was clutch — he laid out exactly what to expect and explained the curing time, which made the whole process make sense.
I measured the mat myself: it’s about 8 mm thick in total, with roughly 1 mm of backing. The backing has a noticeably harder feel, and because it’s thinner, it can slide a bit on hardwood compared to a softer, grippier underlay. That thinner backing also explains why it needs time to settle and why it can show small bubbles early on. I had a bit of edge fraying I trimmed with scissors, and after four days I still have a couple small bubbles left — minor stuff, and likely just needing more weight and time.
Once it flattened, though — the roll is legit. I tested it on both carpet and hardwood and got the same result on both. Speed feels like a true 9–10 stimp, and I can instantly tell whether I’ve hit a straight putt or not. No wobble, no drift, even when cross‑putting across the three cup positions.
The three‑cup layout is actually useful. I primarily use the raised back cups, and they give great feedback — the shallow cup only holds the ball if your pace is perfect. Neither cup sounds like a real hole, but the make‑sound is still satisfying. I have a second pair of indoor golf shoes, and walking on the mat with them feels firm and premium. Roll noise is natural and quiet. It does pick up lint and debris, but a quick Dyson pass resets the fibers perfectly.
The mat rolls up easily, but honestly I just leave it out — the kids grab their putters and go to town.
Bottom line: For about half the price of a PrimePutt, the Chiputt is excellent value. The roll is clean, the speed feels real, and the feedback is instant. It’s not perfect — the backing is thin, the edges needed cleanup, and the bubbles took time — but for the money, it’s a strong buy.

Jeff, thank you for such a detailed and thoughtful review! We truly appreciate the time you put into this.
You captured the product exactly as it is. The initial settling period is completely normal with rolled shipping, and I’m glad the guidance helped set expectations. Once it fully relaxes, the roll performance really shines, and that’s the part we obsess over most.
Your breakdown of the speed, cross-putt testing, and feedback from the raised cups is spot on. Hearing that you’re getting consistent stimp feel and instant directional feedback tells us it’s doing its job.
On the minor early bubbles and edge trim, thank you for mentioning that fairly. We’re continuously refining production, packaging and handling to minimize that even further.
We built Chiputt to punch above its weight, realistic roll, clean feedback, and strong value. Really appreciate your balanced take and support Jeff. Wishing you and your family many pure rolls ahead! ⛳️

More Realistic putting practice.
Bought a few gravity return style putting matts before. But wanted something more realistic. Very happy with the chiputt putting matt. It has three cups so you can change your target each putt if you want. You are standing on the same surface you are putting on. And it rolls true without being too fast. I was also worried it might ripple as I settled into the putt as I can only put this on a carpet but the solid heavy rubber backing material keeps the matt nicely in place. Nice return wedge so you can hit putt after putt to dial in your 3 footers. It rolls smooth, not too fast, more like the greens I play in the UK. Minimal / Zero shipping costs, they must have a base in the UK. Good customer service too. Highly recommend.

Ian, thank you so much for this fantastic review!
It’s great to hear that after trying putting mats with ball return ramp, you found Chiputt to be the more realistic option. That true roll, without being overly fast, is exactly what we aim for.
I’m also glad the carpet setup worked well for you. The heavier backing is designed specifically to help it stay stable under your stance, so hearing that it stayed nicely in place is great feedback. And standing on the same surface you’re putting on makes a big difference for realism.
We’ve worked hard to build proper logistics in the UK and across the world to keep shipping fast and reasonable, so I’m glad that made the experience smoother too!
Really appreciate the recommendation Ian. Wishing you plenty of made putts this season! ⛳️

Superb putting Matt at an affordable price!
While I don’t have experience with other high quality putting mats like primeputt or birdieball, I do have an indoor sim setup (SIG10) with the Sigpro softy and moneyputt turf, and let me tell you this chiputt mat is where it’s at. Thick enough for a real tee to be used for drills, it rolls true, and looks clean and fresh. I highly recommend this mat to the avid golfer or someone just looking for a REALLY nice putting mat!
Response from Chiputt Golf· Apr 9, 2026
Thank you so much Brock! Coming from someone with a full SIG10 sim setup, this really means a lot. Great to hear the roll feels true and you're using a real tee for drills - that's exactly the kind of versatility we designed it for! Enjoy and keep sinking those putts! ️

Great product and exceptional customer service
I ordered the 14’ putting matt and set it up in my finished basement. All the materials are excellent (mat, hole inserts, putting cups, wooden back stop and the new white edge stops). I use the extra chipping mat to stand on when I am putting on the far side of the mat. The distance markers every 3 feet are handy. The mat rolls great and I am really enjoying the whole set up.
I also screwed up my shipping address and Jason was a huge help. He was very responsive and got the shipment rerouted quickly even though it was about to get delivered in the wrong state.
Response from Chiputt Golf· Apr 9, 2026
Thank you so much Tom! Love hearing you're enjoying the full use of Chiputt setup! And glad we could get that shipping rerouted in time, that was a close one 😅
Enjoy the basement practice sessions! 🏌️
