Happy HowlWhere it started:Rocky changedeverything andI never set out to start a dog food company. My husky Rocky had the worst stomach on the planet. Years of vet visits, prescription diets, and hundreds spent on premium food brands. We tried everything. Nothing worked. So I decided to build it myself. 36 recipe iterations. Countless hours with vets and nutritionists. All chasing one question: what’s the best food we could possibly make for a dog? When we finally got it right, Rocky was the proof. He hasn't been sick in over 18 months. He runs three miles with me every morning. That's the standard every Happy Howl bowl is held to. Nothing less.Colin Buckley– Founder

Dogs love the food but the packaging is difficult and messy to serve. Overall easy to store.
Response from Happy Howl· Aug 18, 2026
Hi Debra! We’re so glad your pups are loving the food! 🐾 We also appreciate the honest feedback on the packaging. We know the cartons can take a little getting used to, so I wanted to share a couple of tricks that may make serving easier. Once you open the carton, try turning it completely upside down over your bowl and giving it a good shake — the food should slide right out. Some customers also find that carefully using scissors to open the carton makes things a little easier. The reason the carton is sealed the way it is comes from our cooking and packaging process, which helps keep the food shelf-stable without preservatives. 😊 If you like to portion your cartons, I personally love using small reusable containers. It makes grabbing a serving at mealtime quick and easy, and our longer spoon is great for getting out any little bit that may remain in the carton. I also noticed your next order is scheduled for September 3rd, so I added a free spoon and reusable bags to help make serving and storing a little easier! Thanks again for the feedback, and we hope these little tricks make mealtime much less messy. ❤️ Warm Wags, Rachel The Happy Howl Team

My dog seems to like the lamb best. But she won’t eat every nite. It’s just her.
Response from Happy Howl· Aug 18, 2026
Hi Lynn, We’re so happy to hear that she’s enjoying the lamb! Some pups just have their own little routines when it comes to mealtime, so I completely understand. 😊” Good news: picky eating is super common, and most pups just need a little convincing. Here are a few tricks that usually get even the pickiest pups on board. Feeding Tips to Try: -Start small & mix in: Try mixing a small amount of the food with something your pup already enjoys (like their previous food) and gradually increase the amount over a few days -Warm it up: Slightly warming the food can enhance the aroma and make it more enticing in a microwave safe bowl for 10 seconds (NOT in the packaging) -Add a topper: A splash of warm water, low-sodium bone broth, or even a little plain boiled chicken can help spark interest -Stick to a schedule: Offer the food for about 15–20 minutes, then pick it up if your pup doesn't eat. This can help reinforce mealtime routines Hand feeding (short-term): Sometimes offering a few bites by hand can help reintroduce the food in a positive way I hope this helps! Warm regards, Rachel The Happy Howl Team

I’m sorry to say that my dog won’t touch any of the flavors. I hope I can return the dog food.
Response from Happy Howl· Aug 19, 2026
Every pup has unique taste preferences, and we completely respect that our flavors weren't a match for yours! Per our return guidelines, orders purchased with a promotional discount aren't eligible for returns or refunds, but passing the remaining cartons along to a rescue organization is a wonderful way to ensure nothing goes to waste. Thank you for taking the time to give us a shot!

I still have not gotten my order that I placed for the three different ones so I can decide whether I would switch to this food. This is not a good example of your customer service. I can’t give you a good review because I did not get the food.
